Amazing stay. The owners were so kind and treated us like family. They made us free 10/10 coffee and the breakfast was delicious and filling — even offered seconds. The room was very cozy with great heating and AC, so it was never cold. Highly recommend!

“Family run Guesthouse on the outskirts of town”

We loved our stay at the Guesthouse. We had a double room with Balcony on the top floor with amazing views of the mountains. The room was very comfortable and the balcony was an added bonus. Breakfast was plentiful but not a buffet. We also ate dinner one night there and that was also really tasty and lots of variety and heaps of food. It costs 15 euro each and it is a set menu. Coffee is available anytime downstairs as there is no coffee making facilities in your room. There is heaps of parking on-site. The Guesthouse is located approx 1 km from the start of the Theth to Valbona trail but is closer for the waterfall and Blue Eye trail. The family were very friendly and welcoming.

“Luxury stay with the perfect view”

That was our one of the most expensive rooms during the stays in Albania, but that was on purpose. Most of things met all our expectations. We had a room on the third floor. The room itself is a piece of art. Very modern and stylish. The bed is super comfortable. The balcony and the view - worth almost all money. Breakfast was tasty. The host is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. It is further from the center and all noise, what was also a plus for us. Host recommended us restaurants near, so no need to go to touristic center. If you want to feel the real atmosphere of the place, be surrounded by mountains, watch the stars, this place is for you.

Really friendly host and staff. Very helpful whenever help was needed, such as arranging for a mule to collect luggage to carry over to Valbone whilst we hiked with day rucksacks. Breakfasts and dinner at the guesthouse was also amazing, loads of food, perfect before/after long hikes! And lastly Theth is just an amazing place amongst the mountains, lots of great hikes nearby including to the various waterfalls including the Blue Eye and Grunas.

Good location for walking, little walk into town centre for restaurants but not too far. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Beautiful view.

The host was so friendly, and very kindly cooked us a delicious dinner when we arrived late. Amazing breakfast and fab room. Highly recommend.

“A slice of mountain paradise”

Everything about Marashi is exceptional - it’s the perfect place to relax after hiking! So glad we stayed here for two nights - we wish we could have stayed longer! Our hostesses was so welcoming and friendly, the room was incredible - clean, breathtaking views, comfortable bed and hot shower with good pressure. Breakfast everyday was delicious, and we are so happy we had dinner here too because wow! We were treated to a range of traditional, home cooked dishes for only 15 EUR. 10/10, cannot recommend this place enough.

It was such a beautiful family, and they made our stay so special. They were helpful and they made sure we were comfortable, they fed us, and recommended many places. The guesthouse was clean and the beds were so comfortable, especially after hiking all day, exactly what we needed. It was lovely

“Really nice stay felt very cared for”

We were made to feel very welcome Violetta and her husband are so sweet, she did some washing for me hung it out and folded it up 🙏🏻 no ask was too big, they went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and are very kind people. We had dinner there one evening there was so much food, traditional Albanian. The breakfast was really good too yummy Albanian doughnuts to set you up for those hikes. Great location for the blue eye hike. Away from the town centre 15 min walk along the river so nice and quiet.

We had a wonderful time at Guesthouse Marashi. The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was great, food delicious and the room perfect. Couldn't have asked for better hosts.

“Trip to Albany 2025”

Beutiful place next to mountainriver(though the river was pretty dry at july). People were very nice and friendly. On breakfast hornets really annoyed us, but hotel staff tried to help with smoke which helped a little, thanks for that! 🫡

“Nice view, great people, just a bit small”

The location is great, a nice view over the river and into the mountains from the balcony. The owners were very kind. The evening meal was nice, with many different dishes (I'm not sure how much it would change night by night, so we had one meal here and one elsewhere). The breakfast was ample (and changed slightly over the two mornings).
