Overview
Set in tranquil nature and featuring a historical ambience, this grand castle hotel offers spacious rooms with Italian period furniture. It is located in the Stecklenberg district of Thale, and is surrounded by the hills of the Harz region. All rooms and suites at the Schlosshotel Stecklenberg feature satellite TV, internet access and minibars. All rooms are non-smoking, and some include a balcony. Breakfast is served in the charming breakfast room, or outside on the terrace to the sound of twittering birds. This hotel has a spa area with a sauna and please note that sauna must be reserved . The large palace grounds are ideal for relaxing in. Schlosshotel Stecklenberg is a 5-minute drive from Thale and a 10-minute drive from Quedlinburg. This location is perfect for hiking in the Harz mountains or for visiting all famous places of interest such as the Bodetal (Bode valley), the World Heritage city of Quedlinburg, the Teufelsmauer (devil's wall) rock formation or the ruins of the Medieval castles of Stecklenburg and Lauenburg.

“Perfect little getaway ! Nature, history, relaxation pure!”
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices at the buffet. The service at breakfast by the waitresses was very good. The location was excellent! The castle and the grounds are beautifully kept and inside was warm and cosy with lovely antique furnishings to fit the castle’s original era. Lots of attractions nearby! Restaurants/shops nearby Perfect getaway Can highly recommend recommend We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return again.

“Pretty good, but some "bad taste"...”
The breakfast is very plentiful, fresh and generally tasty. The castle is in a wonderful location, clean and tidy. The staff is very nice and friendly, and they speak English (mostly). We spent a really nice two days at that area.

“We had a lovely cosy and relaxing stay. I would definetely recommend it.”
The breakfast was truly excellent, just wished we had had more time for it :) It's a really nice rmoantic little castle, a little off the beaten track although with a car that's no problem. The grounds and outside would also be especially nice in summer - we were there in October so we could not take advantage of the little pool and the outside seating. Inside there are lovely little decorative touches, we loved the little autumn displays.
