Michelle, the owner, was absolutely charming and interesting to talk to. The guest house is very well-designed and a lot of thought must have gone into selecting all the furniture and fittings. The garden is marvelous with a plethora of beautifully maintained plants and trees, including a massive cactus feature. The pool area has loungers and there's a covered section at the far end with comfy chairs to relax out of the sun. Breakfast was typically French - simple but tasty. Lovely Pou Pou the sedate old cat :)

Neat property some in a small village some 20km from La Rochelle. Beautifully decorated interior and also the garden with small pool is lovely. Very charming hosts who provide great tips for sightseeing. Delicious breakfast each day.

What a beautiful house! Absolutely stunning! The gardens and pool area are just lovely, our room was an excellent size and very comfortable, we had drink making facilities just outside on the landing area which was a lovely touch. Parking is on the road outside or there is a very small carpark opposite but this is a tiny village so isn't at all a problem. The hosts were very nice and happy to help with information of the local area. All in all well worth looking up if you are staying in the area.

The breakfast was superb , with fresh fruit and homemade cakes . Michelle was a great hostess with plenty of interesting places to visit and restaurants to recommend in the local area . The garden and swimming pool area was lovely ,quiet and fully equipped with comfortable loungers.

The warm welcome, the view from our window, The bedroom and bathroom, the beautiful garden and fabulous breakfast on the patio. Everything was perfect and we’d happily stay there again.

Every aspect of our stay was fabulous, our hosts were kind, courteous and very friendly . Our room was delightful and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was all homemade and was scrumptious. We used the pool area which was a lovely haven. Our host even booked a table for us at the local fish restaurant. An amazing experience staying here 😁

From the first moment we arrived at La Maison du Baloir , Michelle the owner of the property said my home is your home please enjoy your stay, they have a fantastic home nothing was to much trouble for them, we know very little of the french language, but Michelle made us feel welcome involving us with ever conversation around breakfast discussions, places to visit restaurants to indulge your selves even making the reservation for me .Great breakfast. The pool area was a welcome retreat after a busy day just to relax. Would definitely like to stay here again .
