“Real Moroccan family experience in fabulous location next to Royal Palace”

If you want to experience a large older typical moroccan family apartment and great hospitality from the owner Moud, with some cute cats. this is the place for you. Great location in an iconic building in main area of upper town next to Royal Palace, but just outside medina. Close to many cafes and places to eat. The rooms are rustic and full of history and books. Try to get the front room, amazing views from the 3rd floor window over mosque and medina above on the hillside, great for people watching. Moud and his family are so friendly and helpful, and invited me to eat with them and watch the Africa Cup football on TV. Of course you are staying in a family home so there are some rules. Overall authentic experience and good value.

The hosts and cats were super friendly and welcoming. The location was nice to almost all landmarks.

Moud and Aouatif were very kind and welcoming, and they live with their lovely cats. They were very professional in explaining the house rules and giving clear directions to help avoid getting lost. I was even able to access the room before the official check-in time, and they kindly offered me a juice and a cold bottle of water for free. They also invited me to have breakfast with them. The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay; it was clean and spacious.

The biggest advantage is the location in the main pedestrian zone and close to the Royal Palace. It's an unconventional accommodation with some rooms offering beautiful views, but not all rooms.

Staying at the Tetouan house is like staying with an amazing host family. You get the privacy of your bedroom plus the social and cultural benefits of getting to be part of a great little household. The bedrooms are sizeable and clean, and Aoua makes sure you are not cold at night with lots of blankets and a hot water bottle. There are three lovely cats who will snuggle you if you want them to, but allergy-havers like me can also get personal space if need be. The family is eager to offer you food and drink even when they themselves are fasting during Ramadan, and Darija, Spanish, and French are all spoken in this household. As far as location, it’s a two minute walk to the medina or souk, and minimarts are everywhere. In sum, this place is a home—and an awesome one.

The room is located in a historical building (think Yacoubian building in Cairo) where you are in the heart of Tetouan. The cost is very budget friendly and the family warm and kind.

My stay at Tétouan House was very pleasant. The room was clean and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. I was particularly impressed by the warm welcome from the friendly and helpful family, who were always available to answer questions and offer recommendations. They were genuinely kind and always ready to assist. The Moroccan food was excellent. It offered a variety of local dishes that provided a wonderful start to the day and gave an authentic insight into Moroccan cuisine. A special highlight was the hotel's central location, which made it easy to explore the city and quickly reach the main attractions. Everything needed for a pleasant vacation can be found here. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose this hotel again for a future visit to Tétouan.

Excellent family style stay. Felt home and comfortable with Mohamed.

The hosts are very nice, will talk to you and give you tips. We even watched football together and had a nice conversation. The location is very good, right by the royal palace.
