The best thing about the hotel was the proximity to Mount Io and Lake MASHU Observatory to visit and experience this spewing volcano really quite close up. There was a nice room that overlooked a lit garden . WE went to 2 other hotels in the resort before finding the right one.

“Stayed two nights, wish it was just one”

- One of the few available accommodation options in the area, and probably one of the least worst. Convenient location to explore the lakes area. - The lounge area with the free drinks was nice and cosy - it seems to have been renovated recently, unlike the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately it’s closed between 10 am and 3 pm, so you can’t enjoy it during a rainy day if you spend more than one night in the hotel. - Coin laundry available and worked well. - Charm of a traditional Japanese room, but it should be possible to keep this charm while modernizing the rooms.

Breakfast and dinner buffets were good for one night's stay. Excellent location for exploring the area.

Relaxing onsen stay. Easy parking and spacious common area for relaxing with free drinks, though as I was driving, couldn’t take full advantage. Lots of breakfast options, something for everyone

Equal to a flat white / latte) coffee in the morning 7am until 10 and afternoon from 3pm Other free drinks on offer included being able to try sake, shochu / alcohol, and fruit drinks if you wanted Access to Tsutsujigahara trail and snow shoeing / hiking nearby.

“A good place to stay!”

A nice hotel, big rooms. You can see it’s not one of the newest places, but everything is working. At first I was a bit disappointed that dinner was not served in the traditional way. But the buffet had lots of choices and a high quality, so that was fine for us. I really liked the big area, not the lobby, where you can sit in one of the many good chairs. And during the opening hours of this “living” room”, one can drink for free, soft drinks, wine, beer and sake. From the hotel one can make easy day trips.

“Exceptional experience”

One of the Exceptional experience while we were traveling along east part of Hokkaido. Happy hours at bar is great. Dinner was buffet. We enjoyed really fresh food with loads of choices. Superb and amazing.
