“Very disappointed”

I had a very concerning experience at this hotel related to air quality and guest safety. During my stay, fumes from the on-site temazcal (sweat lodge) entered our room to the point where it was difficult to breathe, and it was not possible for us to remain in the room. After extended discussions with management, we were eventually given a partial refund for the unused nights. However, the process was stressful and took considerable time to resolve. As part of the refund process, I was asked to sign an agreement stating that I would not leave a negative review of the hotel and I I did they would take legal action. This added an additional layer of discomfort to an already difficult situation. I would strongly encourage the hotel to address ventilation and ensure proper separation between the temazcal area and guest rooms. Future guests may also wish to ask about room location in relation to the temazcal before booking.

We really enjoyed our stay at Posada Temazcal! The rooms were a fair size with a large bathroom and shower, the beds per big and comfy! We loved the rooftop patio where we got to enjoy the full moon and the rising sun daily. The breakfast was quite delicious and the entire surrounding space of the building is lovely! Location is great so close to centre and many local restaurants. The staff was mostly friendly and Mari made us feel right at home. The place was full on the weekend so request for an extra pillow was not welcomed but other than that, we were treated very kindly.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The location is central and quiet. The rooms are basic but complete with all you need and spacious.

“Great place on a budget”

It's perfect for a visit. the room is fine. no kettle but there is a hot water machine in the hallway so I could make hot beverages when I wanted. room service was impeccable. staff are sweet. the aroma of copal and sounds of ceremony waft throughout. this was my second time staying here.

Great place, excellent location with clean spacious rooms. Staff were friendly and kind and make you feel welcome especially through a very generous and homely breakfast. Fantastic value for money.
