Marcelo, his wife Maria Jose and their two young children are a lovely family and they will treat you like a friend from their first communication.Communication was easy and prompt. They are generous and friendly sharing all their meals with me. I arrived with food poisoning which had me feeling vulnerable and instantly I felt cared for and safe. They were also very respectful of my personal space. The room is big, clean with a lovely view and a private bath just across the hall. The beds are super comfortable and the bedding all cotton and and freshly laundered. The bathroom also is big and clean, the shower hot and wonderful. I would mention that water is a luxury in Chile due to years of drought so be respectful by not taking a crazy, long shower. However despite this in this area things are still green and fertile. My expectations were low due to the economical price point and were over the top exceeded. If you want to stay with a “real” Chilean family and have an authentic experience I highly recommend it.
