-kitchen is well equipped (although only 1 person can cook at a time as it’s small) -breakfast is very nice and well portioned -cleaner / chef (staff lady) is very nice & helpful -family room is good, rest are small -Bus stop is out the front of camping

“Truly and ECO- friendly place to enjoy nature and adventures ✨️”

I stayed 6 days at Jungle roots and I loved it. I was traveling by myself, looking for peace and conecting to nature. Jungle roots really was the perfect fit for me. I enjoyed the tranquility and the view from the camp. Every morning I saw beatiful birds close to the camp and very interesting insects, one time I was lucky enough to see one of the beautiful shiny blue butterflies flying by. The camp itself is really well taking care of, the bed was really clean, smelled fresh and had a mosquito net installed. The bathroom have an amazing view towards the jungle mountains. I really love the concept of the place. Finally I found a eco-friendly place that is not using the name "eco" to make a good sells, the owner Diego really is an environmentalist who truly cares about the amozon. He want to show people by living by example how we can live in harmony with nature. 90% of all the resources used to build jungle roots are recycled material, including all the wood. He said he found most of the wood he used in the rivers. Talking about rivers, if you like water sports and adventures you definitely shouldn't miss out to book a tour with Diego. I personally did a very beautiful hike which included a swimming part in a canion/river...it was just amazing and not touristic at all. Also I did some kayaking, which was amazing for me. It's more technical that I expected, but Diego really takes his time to explain you everything you need step by step...we had amazing weather and he picked the most beautiful rivers with the perfect experience level for me to not be overwhelmed but still have some challenges on the way. Coming to the food, I am vegan and I was afraid there was no food options for me around, but Diego told me already before the arrival that they have no problem to serve vegan food. I was so greatful for that since in Ecuador it can be hard to find good vegan food in accommodations/restaurants.

We loved our stay at Jungle Roots, from the delicious breakfasts that Sophia made to the adventures Diego took us on! We’d highly recommend the jungle hike behind the lodge, swimming through the gorges and visiting Sophias Finca. Such a magical place to switch off from the outside world, lounge in hammocks and enjoy great company. Definitely worth staying here if you’re up for a glamping adventure :-)

- The camping is unusual and has some nice decoration giving it a special look and feel - This place will allow you to feel the one with the nature and experience the Ecuadorian jungle and have some rest from the civilization - Diego organized an amazing whole day tour for us and we learned some facts about the local flora and fauna and how the chocolate is made :) - There are a bunch of cute friendly dogs living at the hostel - The kitchen is very well equipped so we could cook for ourselves - There was free bottled water offered at the hostel

Everything was perfect. Very nice host who also does amazing tours. The view from habitations in the forest was beautiful. The vegan breakfast option was also delicious!
