Awesome view, with sun on the terrace in the evening! Great location to visit the mountains in gran Canaria. Carmen is a great and responsive host. Recommended!

Casa Rural Bentayga was in such a divine spot, with views to die for..... especially if you get a sunset! The property was really well appointed with everything you could need.... inc walking poles for those stunning hills around you. I walked from the house to Roque Nublo via a back walking route to Culata.... it was beautiful.... and is worth the effort! (Although take the alternative route to route S-70 (as more rocky). Carmen is lovely, and helps with luggage on arrival, as the road to house is currently closed (due to landslide), but it really isn't far and not an issue. She also has a lovely little dog called rufus who greets you!

“Stunning views, beautifully furnished, warm and comfortable.”

Carmen was welcoming and helpful, and the cottage was superb. Super comfy bed and duvet, well-equipped kitchen, terrace with bbq, loungers, and chairs. The best location, with stunning views.

We had a wonderful stay in this quiet, remote house. Great view, all necessary anemities, and a very friendly host. I can warmly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay!

“Scenic rural villa with great location for a hiking (family) holiday.”

-The historical Casa rural Bentayga is located on a superbly scenic hillside, and it is a great base camp for active hiking family holiday. -Carmen is a very responsive and awesome host. -The kitchenware is complete and great, including a very good barbecue/parilla on the terrace. Only minus is the lack of a dishwasher. Oven cannot be used at the same time as the induction stoves, but as there is a great gas barbecue, this did not make any difference to us. -There are two good size private bedrooms with one having two 80*200 cm beds and another one having 140*200 cm beds, which are great. In addition, there is a 140*200 cm basic couch bed in the living room. The house is ideal for a family of 3-4 persons. -Fresh fruits and (almond) specialties can be bought from La Culata and Tejeda. -Good storage places for everything in rooms, kitchen and bathroom/toilet. -Possibility to easily reach the house also by bus from Tejeda (which gives looping possibilities for hikes). -Note in your day planning that on winter months, the sunny hours on the terrace are quite scarce as the sun is low behind the mountains quite a bit. Around New Year the sunny hours were from about 12.30 until 16.45. Then again much longer sunshine hours can be easily gained on nearby villages&hikes. -The access road is steep and narrow, so a very big car can be a problem, and it's good to have some torque. (we had a small petrol engine car with no sensors and nevertheless managed, but it's not ideal)

“Fantastic atmosphere”

Absolutely fantastic location with astonishing view. Very kind host and kitchen equipment far beyond expectations. Outdoor shower great for heats.

I loved the beautiful location, so peaceful and quiet, with a view of the Bentayga mountain. Usually the only sound heard was birds singing and bees buzzing at the blossoming trees. The sunsets were out of this world. The house couldn't be better equipped, it has everything one could need. And the host was super organized and responsive. I knew that the last bit of access from the road to the house (like 200 meters) requires good driving skills (which I don't have), so I parked on various nearby spots next to the road, which was no problem whatsoever.

“Exceptional”

The location was stunning, high on the hillside above Tejeda with a glorious view from the terrace down the hillside and across to Roque Bentayga. The terrace was surrounded by flowers, and in full sun from mid morning until sunset: a perfect setting for a BBQ. The house had been well modernised and was comfortably furnished and adequately equipped, with plenty of outdoor furniture. It was very peaceful
