“Don’t book it”

Our stay was neither comfortable nor pleasant from the moment we arrived. Upon arrival, it was raining heavily, and we immediately noticed that the roof in the bathroom was leaking. Water was dripping into a bucket that the host had placed there instead of properly fixing the issue. In addition, water was coming in through the Frames of the windows, leaving the floor wet throughout the entire apartment. The electrical installation was extremely poor and unsafe. Due to moisture, parts of the electricity got wet, causing us to lose all lights and internet for the entire first night. At one point, a metal pin had been inserted into the electrical installation, which is highly dangerous. Considering the amount of water and moisture in the walls, this situation felt unsafe and unacceptable. Although the air conditioning and heating technically worked, they were far too weak for the size of the apartment. It was freezing inside, even the bed was cold, and the apartment never warmed up properly. On the second day, we contacted Booking.com. After significant back and forth and pressure, the host only reacted on the third day, sending housekeeping and showing us another unit. By that point, the damage was already done. Despite all these serious issues, the host refused to refund even the last one or two nights and did not allow us to leave. Instead of addressing known problems in advance, they attempted last-minute, inadequate fixes when it was already too late. Additionally, the chairs were in very poor condition, adding to the overall neglect of the property. This place suffers from very poor management, lack of maintenance, and disregard for guest safety and comfort. We strongly do not recommend staying here.

The view, was incredible even from the bed! The well thought out apartment, everything you need. The large terrace with an outdoor shower. And it’s a lovely walk into the village. Beautiful walks in the surrounding mountains. Communication was good, and the local staff were very friendly to chat to.

The location and views were excellent. The shop, bars and restaurants were with easy walking distance. A great base to explore the wonderful scenery of Gran Canaria.

“Unforgetable stay in Gran Canaria”

Everything was perfect! Very clean and super cozy place to stay while being surrounded by mountains and exceptional views. Property was very easy to find and to get in, the place was super clean and had everything we needed. The terrace was a cherry on top - super comfortable to sunbathe and it even had a shower to cool yourself on a hot summer day. The view from the terrace was fenomenal! Also there was a reserved parking space right below the terrace, so you don’t need to worry about finding a space for your car. Every road to Tejeda had the best views on the Island so even if you travel while staying at Casa Maria, the trip back home will be breath-taking. We stayed at three places total on our vacation but I could certainly say Casa Maria was the best one!

This property had the right mix of space, light and location. Tremendously good use of the building. I would liken it to a ski lodge in as much as it inspired calm and rest….and gave the peace and positive solitude you can only get from the mountains….GO!

Good facilities - very well equiped kitchen (important for us!), large fridge, smart TV, hairdryer, washing machine, great shower, iron/board. Beautiful views, quiet, freindly neighbours/locals, nice balcony, ample parking space. Clean and nicely decorated.
