“Wonderful magical place.”

The house was a wonderful experience, full of old artefacts, so interesting. Views from terraces were fantastic. Chilly evenings at this time of year so heating and snuggly flanelette sheets were very welcome. Parking was easy nearby, great base for many trips and hikes. Carmelo was very helpful. I can thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a tranquil break in beautiful mountain scenery.

Casa Canaria is a fantastic house in an amazing location. Full of character and spotlessly clean. Great choice of balconies to enjoy stunning views. Very cosy comfy beds. Host was lovely. Great choice for family holiday.

The house with 3 stories was fantastic and cousy. Many old machines from the 50-70ties as interior design inside. The roof top terrace has a stunning view all around the mountains. Good for traveling families or bigger friend group. The house has all everyone needs for a longer or short stay. We will come back if we reach Gran Canaria again.

Quirky decor, the incredible views, the size of the house, the host, the setting, the balconies and terraces, all wonderful! A rustic environment, friendly neighbours with livestock, (poultry and piglets!) - A very interesting cottage museum on the corner with an enthusiastic host and exhibition of local social history.

Carmello, the host, was very nice. He greeted us at the house and showed us around. I travelled together with my partner and the house was really spacious for the two of us. When i travel, I do appreciate the personal touch - and you are sure to find this in Carmello's house.

“Exceeded expectations”

This was one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in. The house is beautiful, very spacious and comfortable and we felt very much at home. We absolutely loved all the terraces, each with their own character and spectacular views. Top terrace for sunbathing and sunsets, the ‘garden’ terrace for the local street ‘action’ (dozing cats, cute little dogs and neighbours passing the time of day) and the kitchen terrace for dining with a view. The house decor is fantastic, I could have spent hours just looking at all the fascinating things on the walls. Really comfy beds with soft, warm fleece sheets. There were blankets and heaters everywhere but the weather was so good we didn’t need them. The gas powered shower was a rare delight, lots of hot water. Melo was a great host, good instructions and patiently waited for us when we were delayed by our baggage going to Tenerife! The lovely house made up for having to spend a day in waiting for it to be delivered. Tejeda is a lovely village and good base for hiking and exploring the local area. I’d rate casa canaria 11 out of 10 if I could!

“A home from home!”

We stayed in the Casa Canaria for one week and absolutely loved it, very homely, comfortable and cosy, the neighbours were also very friendly and helpful. The house is really spacious with three separate terraces to relax on each providing stunning views. The interior is very quirky and almost like a museum, you could spend hours just looking through Melo's vintage and antique collections. Melo is a great host and gave us lots of recommendations and advice on places to eat and what to explore in the surrounding area. Tejeda is a beautiful village and the area around is very picturesque to visit and the Casa Canaria provides a wonderful base for exploration.

We had a fantastic time at Casa Canaria Tejeda and feel very fortunate to have been able to stay there during our visit to Tejeda. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated with interesting old objects which we enjoyed looking at. The bed was comfortable, the temperature inside was just right and the shower had plenty of hot water. We prepared meals and found all the equipment that we needed, including a kettle and coffee machine. The views from all of the terraces are fantastic, but especially the roof terrace with the amazing backdrop of Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga. It was a great pleasure to meet Carmelo, the host, who is very kind and friendly.

The 3 balconies facing different aspects are great. Very well equipped house - has all you could wish for. Carmelo was so helpful.

We LOVED this beautiful house in Tejeda. It was beautifully located, there were terraces all around so we could enjoy the amazing mountains that surrounded us and the rooms were incredibly tidy and clean. Our host Carmello welcomed us with open arms and was always positive and available when questions had to be answered. We definitely recommand this little pearl!

“Characterful house in a stunning setting”

A beautiful house, in a stunning setting, with facilities for both hot summer weather and cold winter weather. We were there when it was very cold, but the heating facilities were good. And when the sun came out, the roof terrace was wonderful. As others have noted, it's a very steep walk up to the shops and restaurants, but worth it when you get there. The walking and the views all around are amazing! Melo, the owner, is a great guy, very friendly and very responsive. And he's collected some wonderful vintage and antique items in his house, which is a treasure trove of old radios, typewriters, televisions, coffee grinders, china and lots else besides!

Large, comfortable house with multiple terraces and two bathrooms. Beautiful views from the kitchen, main bedroom, and the top terrace. Good shower (temperature and pressure), brand new air-con/ heater. Extra blankets however no problems with the heating. The host was very responsive and check-in and check-out process was very smooth. The kitchen was very well equipped, there was a coffee machine, and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Quiet location, within 15 minutes walk to the center of the village. Wifi coverage throughout the house. We can strongly recommend this house!

“A beautiful holiday surrounded by magnificent nature”

Tejeda is a lovely little town in mountains, with nice local shops and restaurants. There are many great hiking locations nearby, so if you hiking is your main activity you are planning to do, that location is very recommended The house is very large, nicely decorated and has great views to the mountains It was always easily to park a car next to the house on the public street Pay attention that it's quite remote and if you would like to go anywhere else to the coast it will be quite a drive through mountain roads. Plan your stay accordingly
