“A wonderful place to spend a week in Tuscany.”

The villa is beautiful - made up of two villas. The main villa has 8 bedrooms and can accommodate 3-4 families as each bedroom has an ensuite or bathroom. The second villa has 2 bedrooms. Be clear about the number of villas you need. The price in booking appears to be for both (10 bedrooms) but confirm this prior to your booking. Virginia the host is lovely and will meet you at the property at check in and gift you a welcome basket of olive oil, balsamic and some cured meats. The photos do not do the property justice. The house looks newly renovated with great water pressure in all bathrooms. A towel change is done midweek but there are 2 washing machines and two dryers in the laundry house or you can pay to have them replaced more regularly. There is a main kitchen and two smaller kitchens (4 all up if you include the second villa). The pool is huge and deep (not fenced) which we and our slightly older children loved. There is a large swim out area for younger children. The pool is not heated but with 27 degree days (July) we didn’t need it. It was just a little cool to swim at night. The whirlpool is also not heated there is however a small indoor heated spa as well as a sauna. The Villa is approx. 40 mins from Florence, San Giminiano and Siena. Be sure to visit La Fornace - it is a 5 minute drive and has the best pizza we’ve ever tasted. Its popular with locals. Local supermarkets are closed on Sunday. The closest Coop supermarket closes at 1 so we had to drive a half hour to Poggibonsi. Virginia could also arrange this for you for a fee. The property is a working property. You will have it exclusively - free from other guests but there is a gardener around full time and staff who do farming (away from the villa and pool) during the day. Virginia has a full time office under the second villa also which she works from. This wasn’t an issue for us as we were out most days and she provided us with good recommendations and help but good to know.
