“The hotel is a gem in the middle of the desert. I’d love to spend a week there.”

I sometimes don’t understand the star ratings in Morocco. Compared to other 3-star hotels I’ve stayed in there, the Relais des Sables deserves at least 4 stars. It’s a spacious, top-class hotel. As a solo traveller, I was upgraded to a very comfortable room. The hotel is conveniently located between the bus station and the city centre. Although I had to leave early, I was still served breakfast!

“Good oasis-hotel”

The room is a good size, very spacious and fitted with good amenities. Bathroom too was spacious as was the shower which had good pressure. Good twin beds and pillows which is not always the case. The receptionist and the guy bussing the tables at the restaurant are very kind and helpful. Big parking lor. They have a pool which I did not try. Cannot comment on location as I was just in transit.

Considering that Tata is a pretty small place the quality of this hotel is exceptional. The rooms are really nice and well spaced around several small gardens, and there's a large reception/dining area around the pool. They serve wine and beer!

Very nice hotel, the room was beautifull, modern, perfectly clean and you have there everything you would need. The personal was also great. On dinner we ordered 2 different tajined and both were delicious. Also the breakfast was rich and very good. Definitelly 10/10.

An Oasis of tranquility at the edge of the desert. A real touch of luxury and we didn't really want for anything. It may seem a little more expensive than other accommodation in the Anti-Atlas but I do believe in this case it was definitely worth it for this level of luxury in this part of the world. Pricing is clear, cleaners are out in droves every morning and the staff were friendly.Oh and it h as a bar with very fair pricing considering the distances it has to be transported.

My oh my. Full disclosure: we’ve been travelling to Tata for at least the last 16 years and always stayed at a property just south of town — quite a bit more expensive, with a nice view, but after all that time, we felt like a change. We’d read that Le Relais des Sables had recently been renovated, so we took the plunge — and I’m so glad we did. We’re used to travelling around southern Morocco for both work and leisure, and have stayed in all sorts of rustic and rural places. Le Relais is a proper hotel — clean, solid, and well-equipped. Strong electricity supply with plenty of sockets, efficient hot water, blackout curtains, double glazing, and excellent, consistent Wi-Fi. It’s not luxury, but it’s reliable and comfortable — like a Moroccan version of a Premier Inn. The pool area was a real bonus, especially as our previous hotel didn’t have one. A good-sized pool with lots of sofas and seating areas to relax in. Breakfast was typical Moroccan fare, and the evening meals were simple but perfectly adequate. Bravo to the French lady (whose name we didn’t catch) and her lovely dog, Lola, for transforming this hotel. A great option in Tata.
