Built into the ancient walls of Tarifa, Hostal El Asturiano offers charming rooms with traditional furniture. The centre of Tarifa is 10 minutes’ walk away, while Los Lances Beach is 500 metres away. Excellent staff, helpful, extremely friendly. Room was spotless, excellent shower and bathroom facilities. Breakfast was typical Spanish fare but plenty of it and excellent quality. parking no problem across the street. The building is old and the style very Spanish/ Moorish . If you like rustic hostals then this is great. The whole atmosphere makes this hostal well worth staying at. Do not expect luxury but the experience more than makes up for that.

The location. Very central. Found street parking. Photos correct. Jesus very friendly and welcoming. Room style Moroccan. Reception open 24 hours. Breakfast looked nice, what I saw, but we didn't try.

“Excellent central location!”
El Asturiano was everything we expected it to be and was comfortable, in the centre of town and had an excellent shower. Jesus looked after us brilliantly, offering advice for food in the evening and options for breakfast.

Superb location in the old city but close to the ferry terminal and bus station! The host Jesus was most helpful and full of humour. Views over the city were a bonus. Cosy and quaint!

“Want to go to Tarifa? - choose this hostel.”
Nice, small, and very cosy hostel, very close to the center, harbour, and beach. Rooms are a little bit small, but for our two-day stay, it was ok. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the owner - Jesus. We would like to thank him for his help and care. The breakfast, very tasty with fresh juice and local food, was too basic for us, but it is not the fault of this hotel - we are just used to having a different breakfast.

THE ROOM! simple, minimal, beautiful, clean, cozy, quite, all I could of dreamed of on a cold rainy day where I did much traveling with a backpack and boots on. Exhausted ( but like nice things) travelers STAY HERE !
