“Perfect Retreat.”
House owned by an association (Global Society Institute) with focus on the 17 UN Global Goals. Friendly host, there I met nice people. It is a quiet and peaceful place, ideal for relaxing. Good view on the Strait of Gibraltar and beyond. Nice garden around the house, where you can find places with sunshine and some protection from the winds. A walking distance from Tarifa center. Cleanliness is pristine.

“The best place to stay and enjoy a holiday.”
The White House is perfectly positioned for birdwatching, nature walks or a walk into Tarifa , or just to enjoy the spectacular views to Africa, down to Tarifa or along the coast. I have stayed now 4 times and love the traditional architecture of the house as well as the lovely atmosphere. It is equally easy chatting with other guests or keeping to oneself. Matthias and Peter, who manage the house, are welcoming and very helpful., full of information. They make me feel at home. For me there is no better place in Tarifa.

“The most southerly place in Spain - outstanding views”
The property is quite isolated. To get there by car you effectively drive up a dirt track for half a kilometre but don’t worry it’s worth it. The views and ambience of the place are unparalleled. The German hosts are very welcoming and very helpful

Beautiful house with spotless rooms and communal areas. Spectacular views from the rooftop terrace and only a short walk down to Tarifa. Peter is a fantastic host and made me feel very welcome.

“Nice place if you speak German & rent one of the apartments - forget the "studios" for comfort.”
The views from the House are exceptional - the communal areas were large and comfortable.

I booked a single en-suite room. There are also small apartments with their own kitchens. I used the communal kitchen which is very well equipped. Had many lovely conversations with other staying guest in the house. This was my second visit to the Floating House. The atmosphere is magic, the position so peaceful and free with gorgeous views to Africa and over Tarifa. A lovely garden with lots of seats, hammock and a bbq are offering paradisic times of relaxation. During bird migration time you will be fascinated by the views, and there are lots of walks in the National Park from the house. A special scenic footpath takes only 10 minutes down into old Tarifa. It is a little steep so coming home is a bit more. I am already planing my spring 25 visit now.

The location, the view, the outlet of the building, it was a beautiful building with beautiful views and gardens, walking distance to port and the town and beautiful beaches and walks into the National park. Very friendly hosts including the lovely dog , amazing views from the rooftop, very good atmosphere and calm togetherness with other guests
