“Fantastic lodge that's a short distance from the city, but seems like a million miles from it.”
The owner Christian is one of the nicest people you could meet, who goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable, including organising pick ups and drop offs. The Suite we stayed in was comfortable, spacious and quiet with its own well equipped kitchenette. The grounds are wonderful to walk around as you are surrounded by nature and bird song. You are also a short walk to the entrance to the Alto Shilcayo Nature Preserve where you can hike for hours. The included breakfast was also great, and it was cooked at a time to suit us, which we found to be very accommodating. Christian is always on hand for tips about things to do in the Tarapoto area and is very knowledgable about the forest, so is a great person to ask for advice and information. I highly recommended this lodge and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we come back to Tarapoto.
