“Best hidden gem you find!”

The best hidden gem I ever booked through this website. If you like privacy, and be a bit away from the touristic crowd and regular hotels, then this is your place. The villa has massive rooms, to make you feel like a king/queen, the decoration and furniture are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, airy, clean and have a massive balcony to hang out in full privacy. The garden in front of the villa has beach chairs and a hammock, and feels like a private beach. The villa also has a full equipped kitchen, which is great for those like love cooking or just enjoy their own privacy and eat what and when they feel like. The location is superb, it feels super private and remote, but good restaurants are at walking distance. For supermarkets you might need to walk a bit more or hop into a tuktuk.. Host Nilanka is a super helpful and sweet guy, that will give you the full privacy of the villa, but is always available to help, tell you places to visit, help to rent a scooter and he even can cook traditional sri lankan food with you. The value for the rooms, location, privacy, villa, beach, its all totally worth it. Definitely going back!

The on site caretaker Nilanka was extremely helpful with anything we asked for. The beach side location for those who want peace and quiet is perfect.

The house is beautiful, full stop. The room on the ground floor is enormous. Having sand and sunbeds in the private garden is very nice.

“High quality beautiful place at the beach”

We (couple + 11 month old baby) loved our stay at Villa Sunrise. It has a lovely garden, it was exceptionally clean, well designed and nicely built. Great value for money (especially since we were alone and had the whole place for ourselves). There is a small spotlessly clean kitchen you can use that has everything you can possibly need (there are for example three different ways to make coffee), including fridge, freezer and even a big container for mineral water. It’s not far from the main “tourist strip” where you can find many restaurants and a small grocery store, but you can also eat at two restaurants 50 metres further along on the beach. Many electricity sockets conveniently spread around the house. Wifi more reliable than any other place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka so far. For our baby, this was paradise. He could play in the sand at the end of the property, and was free to roam around the terrace without the risk of falling down due to the sturdy railing. He learned how to use the stairs here, and loved looking at exotic birds, dogs, as well as the occasional lizard, monkey and squirrel visiting. The staff was friendly, helpful and very mindful of our privacy.
