I loved the fact that it was secluded and free from the buzz. The road basically led us to a safe haven, and we loved the property and its ambience. The whole area of 1 acre is nicely maintained by the owner, and he made us feel home. The kitchen is well equipped, and the rooms are spacious. The bed can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids without a doubt; it was that big. It would be an ideal space for day packages since it could accommodate a group and their vehicles. Highly recommended if you're looking for a private villa with a pool for yourselves. Spent 2 nights/ 3 days and we traveled to many places from the villa. Location is conveniently accessible.

“Smooth, beautiful jungle stay”

We absolutely loved our stay! A little bit out of the town but we preferred that because we could rent a moped from the host for only $6 a day, giving us the full Sri Lankan experience. We stumbled on by accident a nearby beach which does baby turtle release into the ocean every day at 6pm, you can just show up! We loved the pool and the host comes by every morning and every evening to clean it. We saw many animals from the pool! Such as peacocks, monkeys, motor lizards, newts, exotic birds! Right next to a lagoon and the host has a free kayak you can use. Loved reading in the hammock! Tangalle and surrounding town / beaches were our highlight of Sri Lanka! Coffee spots we’d recommend: Kopi. Our host also arranged cars and tuk tuks whenever we wanted, including for a day in hiriketiya and transport onwards to Ella. We loved the outdoor shower!

Very elegant and beautifully furnished rooms in European standard. Everything was very clean. Quiet and peaceful place in the middle of paradise, where you can only hear the birds singing in the palm garden. But the highlight is your private luxury pool. The owner Danushka who lives elsewhere is very friendly and willing to help you with anything.

“Wonderful time in that amazing villa!”

Very nice place to stay! Everything is very clean, well equipped kitchen, nice sleeping rooms . The pool is refreshing with nice surrounding garden. You can watch many birds! The owner is very friendly and from the fisherman nearby you can get huge fresh prawns! If you search for a good time, just stay there!

We had such an amazing time at Villa de Lagoon. We wanted a remote place, away from the hustle and bustle, and we really found peace here. Waking up to the sounds of the garden, enjoying kayak trips to the sea, and silent evenings on the terrace were highlights of our stay. Asanka rented us a scooter, and we traveled a lot. I highly recommend using a sort of transportation, either a car, tuk-tuk or scooter. We made it to Kalametiya Lagoon to join a bird-watching boat tour to the east and Dickwella Beach to the west to swim and sunbathe. You can have breakfast and dinner at the nearby Shell Point family restaurant, and for the best coffee, head to Pumpkin Coffee. For transport to the airport or other places, ask Danushka. Thank you, Danushka and Asanka, for having us! We will return one day!

“Peaceful and comfortable hotel with beautiful nature around”

Beautiful spot. Host was super nice and rooms were tidy and clean. Ac worked great and kitchen had all the necessary things for cooking meals. Fridge, kettle and bbq grill also provided. Beautiful waterfront with lots of gorgeous trees. Great place if you wanna do yoga outdoors on the grass.

Spacious well equipped 2 bedroom villa ,clean and comfortable, huge garden teaming with wildlife and the lagoon at the bottom of the garden. Monitor lizards, monkeys, full plumed peacock, and his hareem of peahens and at least twenty different other species of birds, a wonderful place to observe nature. Our host Danushka and his assistant Asanka can not do enough to help, and the scooter we hired was the best one we had in our month in Sri Lanka. The hotel next door has a swimming pool which you can use if you buy a drink or snack. We liked it so much we extended our stay
