Beautiful property that is nice and private. Extremely clean and comfortable stay.

The place is situated very close to Rekawa beach where turtles often come to lay eggs at night, in a very quiet and relaxing area where tourists have not yet invaded the beach. The ocean and beach are pristine and you also are a few steps away from the lagoon with tons of wildlife to observe. The cabin is spacious, very comfortable, AC works well, with a private entry/garden. Restaurants are only one or two blocks away and it's delicious. Chamidu will be your host. He is the nicest guy, always has a bright smile and great energy! He will try his best to cater to your needs, and show you around if you want. He makes EXCELLENT breakfast, and prepares it with utmost care and love. Big shout out to him being there 🙌🤩

We liked the hut, it's cozy and very nicely done. The bathroom and bed are clean. AC works amazingly. Breakfasts were tasty.

Very good location, good breakfast, comfortable bed, good air conditioning, five minutes from the sea, the perfect place if you come to see turtles.

Hidden gem at Rekawa Beach! Walking down the beautifully deserted Rekawa Beach, we found this small resort. The owners welcomed us warmly and we had a wonderful time at the stylishly furnished resort. The food and drinks are very tasty. Thanks to the owners and chef cook - It was a blast!

We didn’t realise when we booked but it is only 1 bungalow. Was very quiet area but super close to the beach and turtle reservation which is why we came.

A beautiful cabin 3 minute walk from the beach where turtles come an lay their eggs every night. It’s forbidden to go alone one the beach after 7 at night since then the turtles will arrive. There is a Turtle watch center just by the beach where 25 volunteers work to support the turtles and all tourist can join the watch from 7:30 when it’s getting dark. It cost 2000 rupees if they find a turtle and free if not (which is extremely unlikely). The beach was private with few tourists

The cabin is beautiful and located just about two minutes away from a stunning beach. The surroundings are quiet, especially at night. The host is very friendly and organised a fantastic scooter for us to rent. Breakfast was not great, but decent (we would e.g. have liked some water). The room was mostly clean (just some small stains on the bedsheets and the walls as well as spider webs on the ceiling).

Charming little beach house, perfect location to walk to the beautiful almost deserted beach … Indika, our host, could not have been more helpful in helping us to see turtles laying eggs on the beach. He liaised with the rangers who patrol the beach to make sure we didn’t miss this beautiful experience. A real privilege! He also took us on a little hike around the area to see the lagoon and the water buffalo partaking in their daily ablutions! The little restaurant next door to Turtle Wood Cabin (The Heavens- also owned by owner of the cabin) is perfect for breakfast and supper too although they ran out of Lion Beer on the nights we stayed! However many of the little homestay properties around about offer very reasonably priced meals … recommend popping in earlier in the day to mention you would like to eat - particularly if you want curry and rice (they all seem to want to offer Kotthu which is delicious but not great if you don’t want anything bread’y) - the rice and curry takes longer to prepare but worth the wait !!
