“Amazing bucket list turtle experience”

We didn't even consider Tangalle until we met a couple who came here and had the most amazing experience at this hotel with a very high chance of seeing turtles lay eggs. The turtle tour at night was a bucket list experience that we will forever remember. The rooms, in our opinion looked much better than in the pictures. The owner, was as great as we were told from the couple. The vibe was very relaxed, tropical and nice. I would highly recommend this place as it met the expectations explained by others.

Aslanka was an amazing host !

The host Asanka was exceptionally accommodating. In addition to serving a delicious breakfast and showing us sea turtles, he even drove us to the beach at night so we could watch turtles laying their eggs. With his many years of experience in turtle conservation, he explained everything in a fascinating and insightful way. The location felt like paradise to us. From the restaurant, you look out over the three cabanas surrounded by palm trees, beautifully lit at night with cozy lights. The room features a quiet air conditioner and a semi-open bathroom—such a unique experience, especially when you’re in the shower looking up at the palm trees in the sunlight, maybe even spotting a monkey :)

An unforgettable experience staying right on the edge of the wild ocean. The cabanas are simple but comfortable, and being so close to the turtle nesting beach is a huge plus. It's quiet, rustic, and the sound of the waves at night is incredible. Perfect for a nature-focused stay.

Asanka is a very skilful man who has made a little paradise out of his hands: it is, by far, the most beautiful accommodation we have had in our visit to Sri Lanka. Each house is different and original. His wife, Ridma, has decorated the interiors with great taste, creating a very warm and homely feeling. The garden is beautiful, and you have 5 min walk to a beuatiful beach. As I said, a little paradise. Thanks a lot for sharing with us. You are in our heart and we wish you all the best.

Just a 6 min walk to a little beach and cove where you will find a small cafe serving drinks and nice food. You may see turtles swimming as well. The host is extremely helpful and organised a trip for us to see turtle laying her eggs on the beach. It is a turtle

Very nice cabana, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Owner is very helpful, attentive but very relaxed and friendly. Really loved the place. Short walk to the beach and a few restaurants in walking distance. Great breakfast!

Lovely hosts! Very friendly family. Helpful. I got the nicest pumpkin soup after I had been sick on arrival and it made me feel much better. Thank you. The owner also took us to see the turtles at the beach- which was a dream of mine. Very respectful of the wildlife- which I loved. Would highly recommend.

The room is quite large and very unique architecture. There is restaurants within walking distance.

Best place to stay in Rekawa! Very attentive host who wants to give you an experience, and he does it very well! Cabanas are amazing well kept, near the best beaches, with all the comforts u need! Very clean place! Food is excellent too! I had the pleasure of spending an evening with Asanka, the owner, drinking a couple of glasses together and talking about our lives. Very pleasant memories that I will keep with me! I hope we will be back one day! Thanks for your hospitality!

Lovely family run place. Spacious hut in a beautiful garden. Felt very safe and tucked away. Short walk to the beach. One of our sons unfortunately got spiked by a sea urchin. The family were so helpful in sorting us out. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The host and his family were great. Especially his son. The food was great. The beach close by very quiet and beautiful. Had beautiful shells and natural pool to swim in. Tree swings, cafe. 👌

The host and family were so welcoming and hospitable. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and show us around. The cabanas are modern and clean, with comfy beds and modern bathrooms. My two sons were kept entertained with the wildlife that roamed the jungle like backyard. The host's son was keen to show us the local beaches and made a fantastic guide for us. The homemade meals were tasty, fresh, and a good size. Everything was made on site and they were happy to oblige any dietary requirements if they were able to. We recommend this stunning little out-of-the-way jungle spot for those looking to escape to a quieter area. Also, Asanka, the main host, has helped with the Rewaka Turtle Watch for years and was happy to support us to observe turtles at night.

The cabana is located in beautiful garden with hammocks to chill. Great vibe when is dark. It’s situated within walking distance to the beach. The owners are really helpful and friendly. The host offered himself to go with us to watch turtles in the night. We also had laundry done without any charges. The breakfast was tasty. There was also possibility to order homemade food.

Lovely outdoor space, great food and friendly owners, especially their youngest son who showed us round the beach, and played with my son we were also taken out to see the turtles which was amazing! Thank you
