We had to make a change in travel plans which allowed us to stay one night in the Tangalle area. I am so happy we decided to stay at Skyresort. For us this has been the hotel with the best price-quality ratio during our trip. It is a beautiful house, big and very clean rooms, great bed, good breakfast and a lovely host. The environment is calm, but lots of restaurants in the neighborhood and in between two beautiful beaches. Next time we visit we will absolutely book here again!

“Amazing!”

A great property, amazing location, and lovely family running it. Less than 10 minutes walking to both Silent Beach and Goyambokka Beach (via the shortcut next to the property). We stayed 5 nights, and then came back later in our trip for 5 more nights because it was so great. We met lots of people here who has also extended their stay. We'll be back!

Sky Resort in Tangalle was the best place we stayed in the area and exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable, giving plenty of space to relax after a day out. There’s also a nice garden around the property, which creates a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The location is perfect – very close to two beautiful beaches, both within easy reach, making it ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the coast without long travel. The owners are extremely kind and welcoming, always ready to help and make your stay more enjoyable. Considering the standard and location, the price is almost unbelievable – it’s excellent value for money. The breakfast is quite simple, but fresh and tasty, and definitely a good start to the day.

“Awesome stay in a fairly remote place”

Good value for the money! The location is 5 min away from both beaches (Silent Beach & Goyamboka) which is a plus. The staff is very friendly and accommodation to your needs. The room was well equipped and very clean. You have a lot of local restaurants around but if you’re looking for a more European approach to food, you will need to get resourceful. 😁 All in all a very good place to stay 😁

“Ideal choice”

Lovely location and the room was very clean. Shower room was lovely and so were the breakfasts. The family who run the property are truly delightful and made the stay very memorable. Two nice quiet beaches easy to walk to, although not easy for swimming. Fab reasonably priced restaurants very close by.

Super nice family business. They really put their hearts into it and the breakfast was really good. The room was spacious and clean and just a few minutes walk from Silent Beach.

This place was amazing, the family was super friendly and great service, the rooms were big and clean and the breakfast was great Sri Lankan breakfast. Very close to the beautiful Silent beach, 5min walk down. Most price worthy place we stayed in Sri Lanka. We stayed for three nights and they didn’t clean the rooms in between but I’m sure they would have if we asked for it.

“Excellent stay”

The hotel is amazing, run by a very kind family. The garden is super quiet and leafy and the bedrooms were great sizes. Shower was good. Bed was the comfiest and biggest bed we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! Breakfast was good, we had fruit platters and fruit juice, tea and coffee each morning. The first day we had pancakes and the next roti with Dahl. Location is great - outside of central Tangalle but a 3 min walk to silent beach with multiple cafes and restaurants around. Tuk tuks needed to get to Tangalle but we found we preferred staying in a quieter more residential area.

I just loved the vibe of this accommodation! You enter through a gate and find yourself in a green backyard. The rooms go off from there in 2 stories and they are very spacious and clean. You can walk to the wonderful silence beach. On the way there is a yoga place and restaurant which I loved. Great food as well. The owners family is very friendly. Unfortunately I could only stay one night because fully booked

Superb place few minutes walk from the beach with lovely family and all that is needed for fantastic stay. Breakfast was also great.

It was much cleaner than most places in Sri Lanka, large room with all the amenities.

“Nice place to stay”

Very friendly and attentive hosts, clean and spacious room, nice garden. The room came with a large comfy bed, equipped with mosquito net. The room had a small fridge with a minibar. Wifi was good, breakfast was OK (juice, fruits and a "main", e.g. toast or pancakes with coconut honey). The beach was within walking distance, (very small) shops, restaurants and the bus stop as well. I really liked that we had a drying rack in front of our room where we could hang our wet clothes from the beach. They also rent out scooters. Would stay there again.

We had a great time at skyresort, the location was perfect - very close to beautiful beaches. The rooms were very spacious, clean, with mosquito nets and air conditioning. The owner is a very nice person, always smiling :) It is possible to buy bottled water and they offer laundry service. We also liked the breakfasts. I would definitely recommend this place!

“Great stay in Tangalle 😍”

I loved this homestay! It was super spacious, very clean and the family was just absolutely lovely! I unfortunately was a bit ill with the flu when I was there so I spent a few days in bed. So I’m glad it was comfortable to stay there. It’s super close to the beach which is beautiful! It also had some nice restaurants nearby. And the breakfast was simple but good. I do think you need to have a scooter if you would like to explore more of Tangalle. I did rent a scooter from the property and I have to say it was not the safest scooter I’ve had. If driving a bit fast, the whole bike started shaking and the breaks were not the best. However for my use it was okay. I would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Tangalle.
