“Unforgettable pool :-)”

Very comfortable room, we did not expect this standard after staying in other places in Sri Lanka. Good value for money. Amazing pool, cristal clean water in it and size sufficient to swim. Love the surroundings too.

Excellent location for access to seeing the Turtles, and their liaison with the turtle conservation centre. Clean, great service, friendly and helpful. Good food and nice pool.

Very nice and friendly people with always support. The best hotel we had on our trip. Everything was very clean and modern with a great breakfast. They also inform you when turtles at the beach can be watches - very great experience and 100% recommendation.

Great location. Peaceful but able to walk to the beach and see the turtles. Good local restaurants. Room spacious and great shower. We had a balcony overlooking the pool. Pool was a good size

Location great for vast empty beach and night turtle watch (with guides). Sea dangerous to swim in but great pool at hotel. Peaceful and calm hotel with attentive but unobtrusive staff/owners.

If it helps anyone book I would like you to know we had a 2 night stay and extended for twice as long. The staff are so friendly and helpful with a family vibe. I can’t fault any of them. Rooms are lovely and clean, spacious and look exactly like the pictures. Food is available on site and is delicious. You have to try the prawn soup and the grilled prawns.

“Awesome location near lovely Rekawa Beach”

Shine Wave Turtle Beach is a stone’s throw from lovely Rekawa Beach where turtles can be seen grazing and hatching. Awesome location! Accommodation holds quite some rooms, a nice pool and a restaurant and is relatively large which made it a bit less personal although the owner was very helpful and catered to all our needs.

If you want to be close to the turtles, you can’t beat this property and going to the beach feels like you are on a fully private beach. This comes with the downside of having virtually nothing else around you to see or do and very limited food options. The staff were friendly and the pool was lovely.

The property is in a good location, just a 2-minute walk from a large, wide beach (where unfortunately swimming is not allowed due to strong waves and sea currents). The room was spacious and bright, with a large balcony. The garden and pool are well maintained, and it’s a nice place to relax. From the balcony you can observe monkeys and peacocks that come to visit. There are many restaurants in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful

The location, the beach was just amazing, we had the whole beach to our self's. We saw sea turtle laying eggs at night. On the last night We witnessed the emergence of dozens of turtles as they climbed out of the nest in a coordinated effort towards the sea. The owner and the staff 10/10. We stayed in 5 different hotels in sri lanka, this was by far the best my kids absolutely loved it. Thank you to the shine wave turtle beach team.

“Fantastic hotel, superb team so friendly and helpful”

The breakfasts were amazing. The pillows were wonderful so soft and the bed very comfortable,. The air-conditioning worked really well and there was a fridge and freezer in the room. The owner and his team were simply outstanding. They arranged three trips for us that were all superb and our driver Piyumal was excellent. Always on time and a careful and safe driver. I would highly recommend this hotel. We loved our 7 nights here, such a good location, and near the turtle conservation too. The food in the restaurant was very good and great value.

“Best of our time in Sri Lanka”

We really loved this place! We stayed for 4 nights, and every morning we were served slightly different breakfasts, which added a lovely element of surprise. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the pool was great and very clean. Everything is well organized and carefully looked after — you truly feel that your comfort and vacation are a priority. We would especially like to mention one of the staff members whose name we didn’t catch at first and later felt too shy to ask — she was incredibly helpful, kind, and always smiling. We also loved the surroundings and the proximity to the ocean. It’s very convenient that the hotel also has a restaurant, so you can enjoy meals at any time from a menu that is very European-friendly and easy to understand. Snacks or meals can also be enjoyed on the terrace by your room. We definitely recommend this place!

“Short but really good!”

We really liked this place, wished we could have stayed longer but had to leave. Really clean and well equipped room, good beds. Just a short distance to the beach and the most amazing thing of it all, the friendly people working in the hotel recommended us to go down to the beach and we got to see a turtle lay eggs, priceless experience! Also really good pool!
