The location was perfect, quiet and only 2 mins walking from the beach and surf spot. Spacious with two rooms and a kitchen. Would highly recommend it. Breakfast was also really good

Prateep was a super nice and forthcoming host, very attentive and friendly, helped us with sl our needs, transfers etc. the breakfast is generous and homemade every day. He even invited us for an amazing dinner, we had local fish and it was plenty! Also greatt for kids with soem toys and snorkels and a fantastic terrace with seaview! and literally 1 min to the beach..

Our hosts were amazing, so friendly and genuine. The breakfast was amazing, different every day, so yummy and generous. The house is a 2 minute walk to the beach. Do take his dinner recommendation and go to Ceylon Chef, 2 minutes up the road!

We felt very welcome by the (family) owners. Very kind people that are genuinely there to help you and make the best out of your stay. The breakfast was very tasty and abundant. It always included fresh fruit, omelette, local curd and local roti or coconut pancakes. Super nice! The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was great and the air conditioning worked well. The garden was beautifully maintained and quiet off the street with the sound of birds.

“Great location and accomodation, with a lovely owner”

Highly recommended. We stayed with our three children in the upstairs appartment. The accomodation is semi open plan with 2 bedrooms with large beds. Air con but the appartment stays cool due to welcome shade from the palms in the garden. The owner Pradeep is a kind man who looks after you and cares about your experience. The sri lankan breakfast was great - we ate on our own balcony with variety of things each day and the best sri lankan omelette. The appartment is just down a side lane off the beach road - its pretty quiet and the garden has lots of greenery and birds etc. This is a lovely village in the tangalle zone with a great beach for kids. “Absolutely Amazing Stay - Highly Recommended!”

My stay at the Shadow Surf Bay was outstanding. I had an apartment with the sea view which had a big balcony where you can truly relax and also enjoy your meals. The place is very clean and well maintained. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and kind. Breakfast was generous, fresh and absolutely delicious. Out of all the places I stayed in Sri Lanka, this was by far the best! I will definitely return.

This house is the perfect place to enjoy a few days in a peaceful environment with a lot of wildlife and an amazing garden. You will also have the warm welcoming of Pradeep and his wife, an human being with a lovely soul and good stories to tell about his life and his garden. The breakfast is excellent, and the accommodation clean. You really feel like home, staying with family.

We had the very best time in shadow surf bay. The place is very nice, 2 minutes from the beach, great surfing. The apart ment is clean, has a very well equipped kitchen, the breakfast is incredible good and varies day by day. The family is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the place and hope to come back.

Amazing hosts, delicious & freshly cooked breakfast, great location.

Location was excellent. Village vibe away from busy town area. 30 seconds to quiet Unukuruwa Beach which was clean with a couple of options for food and drink. Few minutes walk to Silent Beach which was clean, a little more populated (wouldn't call it busy though), with good food & drink options. Other good options for dinner, tuk tuks and Ayurevedic massage close by. Little shop just up the street. Accomodation was basic but very clean, little kitchen with good fridge and enough space. Friendly family and delicious, large & varied breakfast every day.
