What a stay in Tangalle! Everyone in Sri Lanka is friendly—the kindest people—but this couple will truly be missed. The way they treated us, always so attentive, is some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka! One night, we asked them to prepare dinner for us, and my goodness, it was the best meal we had in the entire country! The place is within walking distance of Tangalle’s two best beaches! If you’re unsure about staying here, don’t be—you won’t regret it! The host even arranged a transfer for us to Mirissa for an extra cost, of course, but they do everything to make sure we’re comfortable and happy. I recommend this place a thousand times over!

Hosts Gamini and Ira were extraordinary; they went above and beyond to provide additional services including transport and vegan breakfast options. The garden was like a wildlife park. So many birds and small mammals!

The property was set in a beautiful garden, we saw so much wildlife just sitting on our veranda! Our hosts Aida and Gamini were amazing, they really went out of their way to look after us, the breakfasts were yummy and one evening they made us a wonderful dinner. We loved it so much we stayed for 9 nights! The beaches were all a short walk away. We will always remember Gamini and Aida and the wonderful time we had at their cabanas and can’t thank them enough ❤️

We loved staying here! Gamini and Aida were adorable hosts, they were a pleasure to chat to and they looked after us so well. The cabanas are perfect, in their beautiful gardens and only 5 minutes walk from the beaches, bars and restaurants. We highly recommend this accommodation and will miss our wonderful hosts!

Gamini and Aida are such welcoming hosts. I felt very comfortable and at home. The cabana was spotless. Loved sitting on the veranda writing and reflecting. Short walks to the beaches.

Clean, tidy, comfortable bungalow in a pretty, quiet garden. Great location, close to two really nice beaches. Lots of restaurants close by. Hosts were very friendly and prepared tasty vegetarian breakfast for us. At this price point, we were a bit surprised to be charged extra for the bottles of water in the room - bit cheeky! 😉

Great location and very caring owners.

We had an amazing stay at these cabanas. The host family was wonderful and incredibly helpful. They cooked us a delicious christmas dinner. They even decorated a Christmas tree for us. Served excellent breakfasts, and even provided transportation with their own car. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Really nice tranquil place to stay with a large and beautiful garden. Most of all, the host couple are very service minded and so friendly to you. I enjoyed cooking with them one evening. Highly recommended!

We had a truly memorable experience at this place. Clean, a beautiful garden setting with peacocks, squirrels and birds keeping you company, and only 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Goyamboka beach. Good breakfast options, Sri Lankan or continental. And what really touched us was the hospitality of the owner Gamini and his wife, they are the kindest people possible, they will go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and set with anything you need, without being intrusive. It was my husband's big birthday during our stay, and they put so much love and effort into making the day extra special. Warmly recommend.

We absolutely loved this place! It is a hidden gem! The owner and his wife are very heartily and welcoming, helping us with everything that we needed! The two cabanas are in a beautiful garden where you also have the very delicious traditional Sri Lanka breakfast! The Goyambokka beach is just a 5 minutes walk away, the silent beach 10 min walk. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend to anybody to come and stay here! Thank you again for making our stay so very special 🌸

Gamini & Ira served the most wonderful Sri Lankan breakfasts & evening meals in a small covered dining area at the bottom of their lovely tropical garden. We went food shopping with them one evening & 'helped' with the preparation of the meal which was a very special experience. They're such kind, gentle, hospitable people who couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome & comfortable. Gamini drove us round to Silent Beach (which is gorgeous) on our first morning as he wasn't sure if the the shortcut/footpath (which we did actually subsequently use) had become overgrown. The cabana was very comfortable & had everything we needed - good bed (with mosquito net), aircon, en-suite bathroom & a shaded outdoor veranda/seating area looking down the garden. There's nothing to dislike about this accommodation if you like to get off the beaten path and under the skin of a place - it's not for anyone who prefers the comforts & facilities of a western-style hotel.

“Nice little cabana in walking distance to silent beach”

Mr. Gamini and his wife are super kind and helpfull. We felt very welcome staying at their cabana. Theres a nice green garden with lots of birds and other animals to watch while hanging out at the varanda. The house is in walking distance to silent beach wich is the most beuatiful beach we have seen. Mr. Gemini helped us get a tour at the Kalametiya bird sanctuary and drove us there and back himself. We can really recommend this!
