The accomodation is very close to the nice beach. The beach is clean with vawes (but save) and just few people. Sana was very kind and always helpful. We enjoyed the stay with kids there.

“Out of time and beautiful”

Sana and his family are wonderful hosts. We slept just 30 seconds from the beach, which was pure magic. They also run a great beachfront restaurant, and we ended up eating all our meals there: highly recommend the curry and the arrack sour 😉 The accommodation is very simple, but it ticks all the right boxes and feels just right for the place. We were 2 adults and 3 kids (including a baby) for a full week! Mawella is a real hidden gem, with very few tourists. The beach is huge and beautiful, dotted with fishermen and shells: peaceful, authentic, and unforgettable.

The room was spacious with a nice big balcony. The property was well kept and less than a minute to the beach, which you could see from the balcony. Lots of birds and animals in the trees. The beach is amazing with the jungle pouring into the beach- a beautiful lagoon and soft surf to play in. The family also have a nice restaurant bar just on the beach. The family were so so friendly and they looked after us very well, making us feel very special. Thank you.

The location is 50m from the beautiful Mawella Beach. Our hosts Sana and Dilka went the extra mile to help our group of 6 with everything we asked for including scooter and snorkel hire, local information, and transport. They have a beautiful beach bar with excellent food and cocktails.

Nice people, nice place, nice beach.

The location can't be better: just a couple meters away from the lovely beach! We, family with two young kids, had a very pleasant stay here. The family room is basic but has everything you need to feel comfortable: good beds, mosquito nets, good aircon, good bathroom with warm shower, a desk and a cupboard, our 4 year old loved the hammoc out on the balcony and almost didn't want to come out of it. The owner kindly let us use his body board for an afternoon. Great place, thanks very much!

Easy access to the beach with free sunbeds Room is spacious and clean. Despite partially open-air the bathroom is clean and a tight net prevent animals from entering the bathroom. Nice place just around the corner to have breakfast starting from 7am

“Ideal for a peaceful stay”

The property is in a quite area and it’s perfect if you’re looking for a non-touristy place. Just a few steps from the beach where you will basically find no other tourists, which is great! The room is clean and spacious, it has an AC and there is a spacious bathroom. The owner is very hospitable and helpful. They also have a restaurant where you can have breakfast, dinner, drinks, etc. Ideal place for a peaceful stay.

“Lovely quiet retreat”

The beach house is less than 100 m from the beach, on the beach are a number of beach bar/restaurants. Some are very reasonable and some are on the expensive side. Beach is not steeply shelving so quite easy to get in for a swim or body board (available to borrow at relax beach house). Food at the beach house was reasonably priced and very good. Rooms are a good size and comfortably furnished. A nice relaxing property away from major development. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good with a variety of options. Restaurant had a good atmosphere for both eating and drinking.

This place is a gem in the middle of paradise. Sanna and his family made our whole trip a lot better then we could have expected. Sanna is a great host and a professional who can handle every issue and situation. He also arranged our trip in this area, which was perfect. And the restaurant… His wife is cooking one of the best meals that we’ve ever had! And also for a reasonable price. Location is amazing, in very peaceful village with almost no tourists, beautiful beaches, welcoming locals and cute dogs. Rooms were very clean and comfy, with working AC, fast internet and spacious bathroom. They really did their best to make us feel like home. We definitely want to come back again soon and for longer! :)

“Amazing Beach Getaway”

Woah, what a stand out property, in the most beautiful area. Sana,the host, could not be more hospitable, attentive and helpful. He was always on hand to give us tips for the local area and drop us off places with his tuk tuk. He also has a snorkelling company with his friend and knows the best places to see all the sea wildlife Tangalle has to offer. The food at the restaurant in the guest house is also phenomenal, as are the cocktails. And being a bit quieter but wide and long , Mawella beach is the perfect respite from busier beaches though has restaurants and amenities of its own should you want to explore - could not rate this place higher!
