OMIA is a family run business and their staff are very helpful and friendly. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs which reflects in the high level service we received. OMIA has about 8 bungalows on site which gives a homely spacious feel. The bungalows are simple and spacious very clean and comfortable. The property is next to the beach which is wonderfully peaceful , we discovered a nice beach bar about 800 meters to the right along the beach. Rekawa turtle beach for turtle watching is about 1 mile walk lot’s of restaurants there. We used OMIA as a base to do a day trip on safari and a trip to Hiriketiya. As well as enjoying the relaxing on site.

Directly on the beach. Spacious room with their own terrasse. A Changing choice of specials every day on the menu. Friendly hosts and staff. Down sized resort which feel more intimate.

Lovely big quiet clean bungalow. Beautiful beach, views and pool. So quiet. Great place to recharge after touring this beautiful island. Wonderful stay.

“Magical, homely, beautiful & relaxing”

OMIA was a fabulous place to start our time in Sri Lanka. I was so pleasantly surprised at the size of the resort. In the photos it is hard to see how much land they have with wonderful gardens and heights/ views of the beach. I loved that they had access to an almost private beach it made for such a tranquil stay. The bungalow itself was truly wonderful so large, well maintained and with a stunning balcony. The staff at OMIA were there for anything you required during your stay. The food was particularly tasty, fresh and fair priced. Luckily we got to try the managers cooking , Sulfi, his curry was insanely beautiful and made with love. Sulfi has a lovely soul and he really makes OMIA come alive with his smile. I would stay at OMIA again - the only thing to note as a UK visitor is that I did not realise how loud it would be at night due to the waves and the sea being so close. If you’re a light sleeper this is something to consider. Otherwise the property, staff, food, location all exceeded my expectations! Thanks OMIA team.

Excellent and sweet staff. Barbara and the team went out of their way to make our stay good. Sulfi was extremely helpful and serviceminded. Beautiful, spacious bungalows with wonderful sea view. The restaurant served simple, yet really delicious food. Breakfast was great. We would definitely come back to OMIA. It is a the perfect place to catch some holiday zen.

Location and hotel perfect for a great holiday break.

We came all the way from Galle, staying at couple of different hotels on our way to Tangalle. But nothing can compare to OMIA - from the very first minute we fell in love with the place. The place feels like a sanctuary, private, safe and yet close to a wild beach. The food at the restaurant is amazing. The hosts are wonderful people with great recommendations. We thank the whole team for making our stay memorable. We are coming back for sure!

We loved everything. So beautiful and well thought out. The hotel owners were lovely and welcoming, they came and spoke to us, and all guests, at dinner. All staff members were very friendly. Delicious food and drinks with great service. Located right on the beach, with a great pool and sun lounger area too. The beach is quiet and tranquil. Everything was impeccably clean. Comfortable beds, very well maintained rooms with everything you could need. Don’t hesitate to book here!

“Exceptional stay.”

We have just enjoyed an amazing six days here and it was truly exceptional in every way. The whole property is kept in pristine condition and the gardens and trees well maintained which complements the beautiful view across the pool to the palms and the beach. Our room was immaculate and spotlessly clean and serviced every day. The bed large and comfortable, the AC very efficient and a cosy area to sit out in the evenings for every bungalow. The pool is superbly maintained with beds and umbrellas etc all thought about as well as a pool bar. The food was superb, very well priced and a bonus for us, you can see the kitchen and it’s spotless. A good menu too and of course so much fresh fish to enjoy on the specials board. The real secret to this place is the amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful and had the most incredible “ can do, will do” attitude to arrange anything for you. We had the most amazing time here thank you.

“The most amazing hotel in Sri Lanka”

There is nothing to fault about this incredible hotel. The rooms are exceptional, the restaurant and food was amongst the best we ate in all of Sri Lanka and the quieter location was such a blessing after a busy few weeks travelling. Also we were the only guests for our whole stay!! It was beyond amazing.

We had a lovely stay at OMIA. The rooms are really nice, the pool is clean and lovely, the views and beach are stunning. The staff is also really friendly.
