“Gorgeous rooms right on the beach”

We booked this last minute. The rooms were really nice & very comfortable. Right on the beach front so gorgeous location. Super quiet area so we decided to have a meal at the hotel & it was delicious. The staff were super friendly & helpful.

We stayed here for five nights having done a few nights in budget accommodation as we travelled from Kandy to here. The location isn't really within walking distance of a town (and we are walkers!) which we were worried on arrival would be a problem, but due to the quality of the hotel, it wasn't at all. Our room was actually a bungalow, inclusive of sufficient storage, a good size ensuite and an outdoor shower which was both hot and powerful (although there's nothing quite like being eye-balled by a gecko or small snake when you're starkers under the sky). The bungalow was clean and serviced every day and very peaceful at night (you can hear the waves from the sea!). One of the best things about this accommodation was the food. Although we'd only booked for B&B, we ended up eating here every night because the quality was so good, both the breakfast and the dinner! There are options nearby though (along the beach or track that leads to the hotel). The location of the bungalow gave direct access to a sandy beach. The sand was clean and soft and the beach sparse of people. Local fishermen landed here and tourists often went to help, which was nice! Akin to elsewhere in Sri Lanka, the one downside was the number of dogs but they showed no interest in tourists. It is possible to swim in the sea if you are a confident swimmer. It's lovely to hear the sea from the bungalow and restaurant though!

“Tranquil clean place to relax”

The room was spacious and clean, pool was large and the whole hotel was clean and nice. Beach is very wide, clean and serene with no crowds or shops. But do not expect to swim, that is not possible because of the huge wawes. Very good breakfast.

“Lovely resort”

Really nice and small resort with only 7 rooms. Quiet and remote for relaxing. The pool and sunbeds was great. Very nice and Long Beach. The staff was very friendly and happy to help. Possible to get your Landry done. Loved the bathroom in Deluxe room - had outdoor shower.

“Perfection right in the beach.”

We found it difficult to fault anything about this hotel. Most notably, the food, specifically the seafood platter, was absolutely exceptional. We preferred it to the much hailed nearby Nimhira Sea Food (which was even more expensive). Lovely staff completed a first class stay.

Lovely locaton far enough away from main town but easy enough to acess with tuk tuk. Other beach side restaurants within short walk. Food and service 1st class. Clean spacious room. Lovely pool and long sandy beach.

“Idyllic tropical location”

If you want an idyllic peaceful beach and accommodation, this is the place ! Pool really good and essential as not possible to swim in sea. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food really good.

“If you go down South do not miss this jewel !!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay very much. It is a lovely little resort right by the sea with only 6 bungalows - directly on the beach , the bungalows are spacious, modern and equipped with everything you need. Fast internet. Great garden with many flowers. The food in the restaurant is very good. There is a wide selection of dishes and the staff go out of their way to fulfill your every wish. The breakfast is included and offers many choices. Good barista coffees ! We particulary liked the beautiful and sandy beach, to swim in the sea and go for long beach walks; there are only a few other small resorts at the beach so it is never crowded like many other places, we sure will come back.

The bungalows and villa were absolutely great, stylish and clean ! Service was very accommodating and the swimming pool was a dream with a view on the empty beach! ( can’t swim but it was an untouched beach heaven)

The hotel was very relaxing right on the beach, staff very friendly, food was enjoyable and tasty.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Only beaches or just a few hotels around, so it was never crowded. The staff was great, and we even had our cocktails served directly on the beach. The beach itself was beautiful, and the swimming pool was also very nice. With not too many rooms, the atmosphere felt calm and relaxed. Along the road, there are good local family-owned restaurants and an Ayurveda spa where we enjoyed an excellent 90-minute massage. We truly loved this place. It was easy, relaxing, with beautiful views and stunning sunsets. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Boutique style resort with 6 bungalows right on the lonely beach in Rekawa, no beach vendors like everywhere else where I stayed in Sri Lanka. Spotless clean room, comfy beds and a fast wifi Internet ( I have to work a bit while in vacation...) Food in theie Blue Dolphin restaurant is incredible - fresh seafood each day and also Pizza... Staff very nice and helpful. Very quiet loation and a beautiful garden and big pool. Sure we will return !

Price/quality really amazing stay! We were lucky to have a bungalow with side seaview. The pool with seaview was so lovely. Food was really good, both breakfast (loved the pancakes!) as dinner. Highly recommend. We would go back without a doubt.

“good place for a quiet vacation”

Location is superb. Ocean is quite close, you can literally hear the constant roar of the waves. However the waves were large during our stay, which made swimming in the ocean impossible. But the swimming pool is excellent. The restaurant on the spot is good, there's no need to go somewhere else for dining. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
