Very good breakfast served on the veranda overlooking the beach . Very friendly relaxed staff , and ideal location with direct access to a beautiful quiet beach through a gate at the end of the garden .

The location on an almost deserted beach is fantastic! The true value of this hotel lies with the manager, Rasitha! He was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was able to solve every problem! Mr. Menaka is the heart and soul of the hotel and takes excellent care of the guests. Their incredibly friendly and helpful nature makes this hotel truly special!

“Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting”

We loved the Japanese-inspired decor - the rooms were very comfortable. It was great being so close to the beach - Mawella beach is beautiful, a few beach bars but very natural and quiet - and other beaches in the area (Silent Beach, Hiriketiya etc were easily accessible by tuk tuk). The staff at Isana were lovely and we felt well looked after!

I absolutely loved my stay at Isana and I wish I would’ve stayed longer! ☺️ I initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 5 - and I would’ve stayed longer but they were fully booked. I loved everything about it - the vibe, the facilities, the architecture, the other guests and last but not least the kindest and most attentive staff. The beach, which is the most peaceful, beautiful and long stretch of beach, is a few steps outside your room. You fall asleep and wake up with the relaxing sound of the waves. The garden is also very beautiful with hammocks and lounge chairs. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Sri Lanka. Thank you for an amazing stay!

This hotel has an interesting design, very minimalist. The staff is friendly, and you can rent a scooter. The breakfasts are delicious. The location is great, right on a beautiful beach.

My second stay here and I would go again. A charming residence for those seeking a quiet time. Slightly quirky, comfortable, and with a friendly staff. If all you want to do is swim, read, eat and drink on a tropical beach then this place is for you.

Excellent accomadation, right on the beach with access from the garden. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. An absolutely superb stay with a band arranged for a birthday treat , along with a birthday cake and an excellent seafood BBQ. The food was freshly cooked and wonderful. All in all an absolutely wonderful stay at Isana Beach House. Thank you so much to all the Isana team for making us so welcome and our stay so memorable. Thank you.

“Overall nice stay with excellent coffee”

The stay in general was good, big advantage is direct access to very nice beach. Hotel gives free beach towels and sun beds. This is quiet and peaceful place, but if you want to go to the city you need to take the tuk tuk. They can serve lunch and dinner, prices are good and I would say that similar to the restaurants in the city. They have excellent coffee! Staff is very nice and friendly what has big impact on atmosphere in the hotel

We had a great stay at Isana Beach House. The house has an absolutely fantastic architecture where the Japanese design shines through. The building is situated in a lovely garden with coconut palms all the way down to the beach. Many lovely sunbeds in the garden. The beach is fantastic, clean and almost deserted with small fishing boats pulled up on the beach. The food is good, maybe add extra spices if that's what you want. Perhaps the best part of it all is the staff, who are friendly and very helpful. If they could get more than 10 they got it 😊 Thank you for a lovely stay at Isana Beach House.

The hotel is located at a very nice and quiet beach close to Tangalle. The place is perfect for people to look for a very days away from big cities and many people. The room was very nice and had a balcony with an amazing view over the ocean. The hotel staff is. Wry friendly and helpful. They Organized the driver for me that brought me to my next stop. Overall a perfect place to shut off for a few days.

“Peaceful stay in a beautiful secluded location”

Loved the peace and tranquillity, the staff and Richard, the owner were brilliant. Always on hand to help with any requests, they even booked us a safari with a days notice! The garden runs straight onto the beach, a stroll along the beach you will find other restaurants and bars, all very calm and family/couples orientated. The food was great and very reasonably priced. The room was large and designed well. No air conditioning, but the breeze from the sea and the design of the rooms makes it unnecessary. Plenty of hot water available at all times and a great bathroom with good water pressure. Bed and linen very comfortable.

Nicely designed property with beautiful interior decor touches and a natural eco friendly feel. Lovely, helpful staff. Very welcoming, we felt like house guests where nothing was too much bother. Very nice breakfasts (on quality tableware) and tasty meals prepared by advance order. Located on a beautiful quiet beach with a couple of beach restaurants nearby. Cows sauntered down to the beach every evening, very rural feeling!
