The breakfast was really good value and across the 4 days they got used to our preferences. A great find in Tangalle away from the road to make the resort very quiet. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

“A wonderful stay in the Hidden Garden of Tangalle”

We had wonderful stay at Hidden Garden Tangalle. Our room was on second floor with a balcony where we could sit in the shade and enjoy the view of the beautiful garden full of palm trees and flowers. It was magnificent. The room was very well planned with large bed with mosquito net, a fridge, table chairs, a large bench with water cooker and plenty of room to keep organized. The room also had a ceiling fan and AC. The bathroom was also very nice. Everything was very clean and had a fresh scent of flowers. The garden have several small houses and nice pool. We got a very nice breakfast that was served in the 'admin' house. The breakfast was included in the price. It was a combination of western / Sri Lankan and very good. At your stay you can borrow a canoe to paddle in the lagoon or you can join a class yoga. The location of the hotel is 150 m from the beach. A small path leads you there. Along the beach there is a small street with lots of restaurants of different kind. This is avery nice part of Tangalle. I can highly recommend a stay at Hidden Garden

Came for 2 days, stayed for 6 - which should say it all. Just in case you need more: great hotel + breakfast, great lagoon + free kayaking, great location.

“Magical.”

We loved everything about Hidden Garden. There was a group of 6 of us and every single one of us had the best time ever. The amount of wildlife on offer is truly amazing and this just adds further to the relaxing vibe. Our room was big and airy with a balcony, fridge and nice shower. The owner Nilan and his staff were a fantastic hosts who always had time for the guests and Nilan was also very knowledgeable about many subjects. Hidden Garden is situated just a few metres from the beach and the local bars and cafés. Breakfast is available each morning (Eggs/toast/fruits/pancakes and Tea or Coffee ) at Hidden Garden at a very reasonable price and was great value for money. There are also free Kayaks available to the guest to explore the lagoon further as well as a lovely clean relaxing pool. So, in conclusion I would like to thank Nilan and all his staff for making our stay such a special experience. Hopefully see you all again next year.

This place is peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely breakfast will set you up for the day, enjoyed in the lovely dining area looking out over the wildlife area. Fabulous pool and well located to the beach and lots of great restaurants nearby. Tuktuks always ready to take you out on trips to places around and about.

Best place we stayed at so far during the first week. Spent 2 nights here.

“Hidden Garden a little hidden gem”

Set away from the beach and the strip in a quiet location with a lovely pool and of course garden. Some rooms look better than others, we were lucky to have a top floor room above the trees with nice views of the many birds and always a breeze. Very good breakfasts and excellent coffee.

“Dream gardens”

Lovely little resort in Tangalle. I loved the pool area and that we could use the canoe to explore the mangroves. The staff and particularly the owner is extremely friendly.

Fantastic location nestled in the trees and set among well kept gardens. Great pool. Good sized balcony. Amazing beach 2 minutes walk away. Good selection of bars/restaurants close by.

We loved our stay at Hidden Garden. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing around the pool. Our itinerary exploring Sri Lanka had been very busy so it felt like a restful retreat. We stayed for 3 nights and could have happily stayed longer. It’s super close to the beach, quiet, and the breakfast was one of our favourites.

Super relaxing stay. The gardens and pool are fantastic, my room and balcony was massive. The location is few minutes walk to beach with lots of places to eat nearby. There's yoga on site and bike hire available.
