“Hidden Gem”

This family run hotel is just awesome. A great superfriendly family that looks after you as family. The villa is a great comfortable size with a huge bed, fridge, airconditioning, fan hot water and even a blowdryer, badminton game, closet, tea facilities. They check in on you several times and clean the room on request. The outside porch was really lovely with great seats and a daybed, we enjoyed the view on the lovely garden with peacocks and monkeys.

We had a great time! Really quite area with a lot of animals in the garden! The family that runs the place is really kind and helpful.

“Peaceful stay in a secluded area with kind and generous hosts.”

Peaceful stay amongst a tranquil garden, 5 mins walking to the beach. The hosts were so kind and helped us with anything we needed. They even booked our onward transport and got us a good price. The restaurant serves delicious food (and big portions). They offered us a red torch to look for turtles hatching in the evening. It’s in a quiet area in tangalle away from the tourist resorts. We spent a whole day at the beach and hardly saw anyone. There are lots of good options for a drink or some food in the local area (run by locals mostly from what we found). I highly recommend Sha Sha Seafood, they brought a selection of fresh fish/tiger prawns out for us to choose from before ordering!

Beautiful villa situated in a garden. One of four. Usual family ownership and warm welcome. Good English made communication easy, although as older people we were a little put out by needing to message for everything. Good modern facilities in a spacious and clean room. Fridge, kettle and private terrace. Also runs a restaurant. Very keen to know if we had any issues with our stay and what they could do to improve. Very special place. Would recommend.

Amazingly helpful and friendly host family. The bungalow was super comfy, couldn’t have been better! Beautifully maintained large garden to relax in, or a few minutes walk to the beach. Incredible value for money in my opinion. Food was also very good!

“A little taste of paradise”

Beautiful villa to stay in. It appeared to us that the owners had thought of everything, including shower shoes. Four poster bed with mosquito net, mini fridge, beautiful landscaped gardens, tea & coffee facilities, and restaurant onside. Tangalle beach is roughly 10 minute walk and we'll worth a visit at sunset.

Loved the location, being a short walk from the beach and easy to get a tuk tuk or taxi to anywhere. Wonderful family run business and they were so helpful in arranging trips and activities. The breakfast was the best we have had so far during our trip and the Sri Lankan curry in the evening was wonderful. Incredible value for money.

Comfortable villa set in a beautiful garden, just a short walk away from one of the most amazing beaches I’ve ever seen. This is a family business and they are so kind and helpful plus they know all the best spots. Delicious breakfast and prices here are very good. Highly recommended.

Very unique experience staying in a homestay garden villa. Everything was provided in the room, kettle, fridge, har dryer, table, chairs, bed, mosquito net, warm water with good pressure. Even they had a badminton set, a jumping rope and a pad with internet in the room for the guests to use. The surroundings are peaceful with many possible animal encounters and amazing sounds during the night and morning time! Very friendly family running the business.

Super clean cabins, provided with everything you need including a mini bar. Nice private terrace overlooking the garden. Hammocks for relaxation. The family who owns the place is super friendly and proactively helping you with anything you need. Their restaurant is great too; I had the Sri Lankan pancakes for breakfast and curry for dinner which were both absolutely delicious.

Pretty much everything!

Everything here exceeded our expectations. The room and surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We had as much privacy as we wanted but we could easily get help or socialise if we wanted. We stayed as a family with one 5 year old. We felt safe and isolated but with an easy walk to the beach or tuk tuk into town. The restaurant is as good as you will get in the area, with incredible food, great service, good prices and large portion sizes. The value for money cannot be overstated. We ate nearly all of our meals there for a week, had a few beers and had our laundry done three times for 55000 rupees.

“Perfection for peace”

Everything at this accommodation was incredible. The family that run the villas are kind generous and help with anything you need. The food was amazing, breakfast and dinner! Go traditional with Sri Lankan food and it will not disappoint. With many thanks to Mrs ‘Chef’ for her delicious food. It was peaceful and quiet, you could hear wildlife and waves and was the perfect sanctuary for peace and restoration. Tangalle town is easy to get to with a scooter tuk tuk or bus for shops and more beaches and the owner Lakmal can help with transportation advice and bookings. My villa exceeded expectations; the terrace was so serene and the bed comfortable. Shower and bathroom facilities also great. The gardens are full of palm trees and hammocks to swing and read. I came here for some rest and it was perfect. Walking distance to a stunning beach but not swimming beach. And if you come at the right time you are right by the turtle watching area. Thank you to Lakmal, his wife and family who work so incredibly hard to provide you with the best and kindest services.

Wow we were here for 4 nights and could have happily stayed longer. From the welcoming drink nothing was too much trouble. This is a quiet oasis of calm. Lovely clear super equipped bungalows and wide ranging menus with fresh ingredients.
