“A wonderful place”

The room was very nice&clean and had such a beautiful view! The Silent beach is 10 minutes walking, but we also enjoyed the pool😊 The breakfast was rich and delicious, thank you!

“Recommended comfortable accomodation with friendly owners”

Very friendly owners. Willing to help and very interesting to have a conversation about Sri Lanka. Cottages are comfortable with a nice porch. Swimming pool adds to the experience. Goyambokka and Silent beach are both within walking distance. As is a bus stop to Tangalle. Very tastefull breakfast as well.

Amazing tranquil location surrounded by jungle but in walking distance of the most beautiful beaches of Sri Lanka. Extensive sri lankan breakfast and lovely hosts. The owner is a very kind and welcoming person who will make sure you will enjoy your stay. They went above and beyond to fulfill our needs.

Great location, directly in the nature in walking distance to the two most beautiful beaches in the region. Sweet view on the sea.

It's a great place. Walking distance from the beach and some restaurants. We had the family cabin, which is pretty large! It's surrounded by nature, we saw birds, even peacocks in front of our room and squirrels. Staff is really nice and helpful. They helped us arrange a trip to Bundala National Park (recommended). Good breakfast as well.

It’s a beautiful place but…

“Close to nature but with a/c and a pool, short walk to two good beaches.”

Set in a low impact style, close with nature, in the woods. We saw many birds, frogs, monkeys, lizards, a harmless rat snake. Close to two good beaches. Friendly helpful hosts. If you want luxury hotel complex then this is probably not for you. If you want a peaceful location close to nature this is great.

Incredible food, wonderful helpful staff and a lovely unique room which lets you open all the shutters to the front, giving you an open wall to view the treetops and out to the sea - very special and great location near silent beach

It was something different! I loved the sound of nature that you could hear all the time. A very clean place, a very tasty breakfast! Extremely nice staff, ready to help you with whatever.

The room was very airy, open and bright. It was like living in a forest. You could see a lot of animals from the room, a forest and sea. The host was very helpful and nice along with all his family. They prepared a rich breakfast and dinner.

Everything was perfect. Mahendra is very kind person.He helped us with everything what we need. Great breakfasts and dinner. Highly recommended !

“Great accomadation in Goyambokka.”

Wonderful owner Mahendra and staff. Very welcoming and friendly . Excellent facilities in a family bungalow which was lovely. Tea and coffee making facilities, towels, sofas and hot shower. Food at the property was excellent with evening dinner available too which was cooked to perfection and plentiful. Location between two lovely beaches was perfect for entertaining children. The swimming pool was clean.

Cottages are set in native bush lands. This is our favourite place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. Impeccably clean and owner bent over backwards and added a bed for us. Short walk to the prettiest beachin Sri Lanka called Silent beach. Great wifi and fridge and tea etc.

We stayed in one of the guesthouse rooms which are naturally cooled through open areas maintaining a cool temperature. The location also puts you close to nature with monkeys, chipmunks and peacocks nearby.

Pool was cleaned every day, breakfast was super, Host is very helpful.

“Excellent place to stay”

Green Hill Cottage was excellent. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. We also had a couple of evening meals which were delicious, our son is a fussy eater but Mahendra asked what he would like and got it for him. Swimming pool was big and clean. The cottage was perfect for us as a family, relaxing, quiet, spacious, picturesque, clean, lots of wildlife and a short walk from a beautiful beach. Mahendra was very helpful and knowledgeable, perfect host. We would highly recommend Green Hill Cottage.

We had an amazing stay at bungalow at Green Hill! The cottage was brand new and tidy. There are 4 separate bedrooms (one without a/c but with the ceiling fan and windows open it was ok). Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Plenty of common spaces around the house. In the kitchen we had everything for cooking. Each breakfast included eggs, srilankan pancakes, rottis, fruits, tea and coffee - more than we needed to get enough. Goyambokka and Silent beaches are 5-7 minutes walk. Special thanks to the host Mahendra that made our Tangalle part of journey unforgettable! He also helped us with the transport and everyday issues. I would certainly recommend this location and the accommodation.

“A nice way to experience tropical area. Like staying in a safari lodge but by best beaches”

Green Hill cottage is surrounded by lush trees, with top floor views to the sea. You can walk to several gorgeous unspoilt beaches. Mahendra, the owner is very kind & goes out of his way to make your stay a good one.
