“Wonderful oasis right near the beach.”

Very warm and welcoming hosts and beautiful setting! The garden is idyllic, with lots of flowers and visiting birds. Comfortable and spacious rooms, with relaxing balconies. Great location, close to the beach and nice local restaurants - including the one at Eagles Nest, which serves tasty breakfast and dinner. This was a last minute booking, and we're so glad we chose to stay here. Would come again.

Great size room, comfortable bed & always hot water for the shower. You can eat there or there are restaurants nearby. A beautiful beach a short walk away. Lovely pool area - the water was so warm. Lovey for a relax.

Lovely location! The room was very comfortable and the pool was lovely, with nice views and the gardeb full animals. The family is lovely, and breakfast and lunch and dinner were really tasty. Only minutes away walking from Tangalle Beach, absolutely stunning!!!

It was an absolute joy to stay here and I don’t think we have ever been so relaxed on holiday. The setting by the lagoon with its diverse bird life, the pool with the gardens and peacocks and the staff who could not do enough to help made this a very memorable stay and we were sorry to leave. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable, there was a good breakfast choice and the evening meal we had was excellent. It was so nice being close to Tangalle and its beach and restaurants/bars but even nicer being in the calm quiet peaceful area the Cabanas are in. There are several places to eat nearby and we were easily able to walk to an area of the beach to see turtles at night.

“Really beautiful place, a hidden gem in the jungle.”

Truly a 10/10 stay. The site is just magical, you feel like you're in the heart of the jungle watching wildlife and birds all day. The rooms are really spacious and clean, and the balcony is lovely to sit out on. The little restaurant onsite is lovely, breakfast was delicious each day and with serval options to choose from. The host and her family all help out and it feels very welcoming to be there. The pool is lovely to cool off from the humidity also. The beach is just a 10 min walk away and the walk itself is around the lagoon. Several restaurants around and in walking distance which offer traditional home cooked Sri Lankan dishes, all delicious! There are also a few small beach resorts if you want more western foods, but they are most expensive.

“A Dream Stay Surrounded by Nature”

My stay at Eagles Nest completely exceeded all my expectations. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and offered a breathtaking view over the beautiful property and the surrounding mangroves. In the distance, you can hear the gentle sound of the ocean. This peaceful idyll made it impossible not to extend my stay. The breakfast was an absolute dream, with a variety of options to choose from depending on your taste and mood for the day. I can also highly recommend coming for meals outside of breakfast - the restaurant serves fresh, delicious food and everything is prepared with great care. Above all, the family that runs the resort is incredibly warm, attentive, and simply wonderful. Their hospitality truly makes this place special. Thank you for this unforgettable experience and beautiful memories. I would return anytime.

We had a great stay here! The kids (age 4 &7) absolutely loved the swimming pool! The family who run it were very friendly and helpful. They easily arranged tuk tuks and taxi from the airport/to our next accomodation. It is 5 min walk to an amazing beach, with some restaurants along. We also went to the turtle centre, and saw a turtle laying eggs at night time.

Is an absolute gem of a find. Family owned and run - approx 8 double room ensuite cabanas in beautiful gardens with a gorgeous pool overlooking a large lake teeming with wildlife. Nimmie and her family make you feel so comfortable and cook the most amazing food to order from scratch…and make a mean cocktail! Our party was 3 generations from 9 to 79 and NO ONE wanted to leave - in fact we extended for as long as we could. The wild beach is 7min walk away, including a turtle conservation where you can see babies hatch and mum turtles lay eggs by moonlight

“An unbeatable location”

Location is amazing. This tiny hidden gem is situated in a calm and serene place surrounded by lush green and lots of wild animals. The view is truly amazing. Owner Nimmi is going out of her way to make sure you are well looked after specially with her yummy food. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely will come back.

Great location, amazing and attentive staff, super tasty food (we ate here for all our meals, when usually we would go out for dinner), big rooms, clean pool overlooking the gorgeous river with heaps of wildlife! And super quiet in the day and night. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Eagle’s Nest Cabanas. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious. The grounds are truly beautiful – lush greenery, vibrant flora and fauna and a nice pool to relax in. Breakfast was decent, though we had to wait a little while – but in such a peaceful setting, it was easy to just relax and enjoy. Restaurants are within walking distance, which was very convenient.
