“Fantastic hosts in a gem of a location near Tangalle”

An amazing location, next to the most peaceful and laid back beaches we had on our trip. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and some of the best cooks we met on our trip. The host cooked for us on our first night and we were amazed with the quality of the food, one of the most memorable dishes in a 3 week trip. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious everyday. We absolutely loved the location and it was the perfect tranquil stop in between more busy places. Its easily walkable to Tangalle and we rented bikes to explore up and down the coast which we would recommend. We had one day of heavy rain and the power went out for a few hours and the hosts brought us candles and juices to our room and were always attentive to us throughout our stay. The garden is beautiful

“Heartwarming”

Dinuri is a true Srilankan gem! :) the whole family that runs it is sooo friendly and helpful; staying in their home garden, having a super tasty complimentary dinner with local specialities, waking up to birds song and enjoying the abundant breakfast - unforgettable! The property is in a quiet neighbourhood and close to the beach. So sorry we've spent only one night there, I'd come back anytime!

We originally planned to stay for three nights, but we liked it so much that we extended our stay by two more nights. The family welcomed us warmly from the beginning and made us feel comfortable right away. We even received a small room upgrade, which we really appreciated. During our stay, they cooked for us twice and also helped us with our laundry. We are very thankful for their kindness and hospitality. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place.

The whole family who runs the place is wonderful, welcoming and so kind! They really made our trip to Sri Lanka an amazing experience. Away from the noisy road, beautiful garden, close to many beaches, clean spacious rooms and I can not stress enough what an amazing cook the mother is. 100% would come back.

“Fabulous homestay. 10/10”

We liked our stay here, the room was very large and comfortable, with good A/C and shower, and in a quiet location. It was just a short stroll to the beaches, and a few restaurants. The family were the most welcoming hosts, and provided us with cold drinks on the terrace and even a home cooked evening meal that was delicious, the breakfast was excellent also. Thankyou for everything.

“Wonderful big room in nice garden”

Very big, clean comfortable rooms in a calm and nice lush garden setting. In the morning we could observe from our balcony grey langurs and a grizzled giant squirrel in the garden. The family is very welcoming and the lady cooked for us a great shrimp dish.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Since it was low season, we were the only guests and were given a room upgrade. The room was clean, in good condition and had a large terrace. Wifi, airconditioning, hot water, etc all worked well. The little touches made it really special. They brought us fresh juices and coconuts, offered to cook us a delicious dinner, and when we returned from a fishing trip they gladly prepared our catch for lunch. They even surprised us by cleaning our tuktuk! Their breakfast was great - a lot of options (samosas, pancakes, fruit, eggs) that varied daily. The location is great too, the garden is very peaceful and it’s a 5 minute walk to a beach. After a month of traveling around Sri Lanka, this was hands down our favorite place to stay. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re visiting Tangalle!

We had an amazing stay at Dinuri Villa's. The family were always on hand to assist us and were extremely accommodating. They provided us with arrival drinks, a delicious breakfast and the dinner was one of the best that we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The villa is located very close to the beach - not even a 5 minute walk. There was parking for our Tuk Tuk. They even let us leave our stuff in the room past check-out so that we could enjoy Silent Beach. Highly, highly recommend.

“Peaceful place in a beautiful garden”

We loved staying at Dinuri villa. Shiromi and her family are adorable. the room was spacious and pleasant, with a view of the magnificent garden. delicious breakfasts, homemade, different every morning. We were sad to leave this place where we felt so good. Thank you again for your kindness

The family was really nice, they offered to cook us dinner and it was delicious. The garden was beautiful and we had plenty of drinking water available in the room. The beach was about 5min of walking.

“A patch of Paradise”

What a beautiful place to stay! This villa was set in a gorgeous garden full of plants, birds and squirells; a must for nature and wildlife lovers! The room was clean and had good facilities, we had a large balcony with water machine, full sized fridge, sink and some dishes and utensils, and a washing machine which came in very handy for our long stay! The host and her family were fantastic, very kind, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was bought to our room daily, as well as fresh juice, buffalo curd and cupcakes throughout our stay. There is also the option to have dinner at very reasonable prices and delicious local, home cooked food. A 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute tuktuk ride into Tangalle. Thank you Dinuri Villa, we would stay again!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious every day! They also brought us tasty juices a few times and cooked us dinner one night. The location is super close to the beach but away from the main road so it is quiet. Really easy to get Tuk Tuks to other beaches or into the town. The staff were very helpful and responded to anything quickly on WhatsApp. We stayed in the king room which is on the top floor. Honestly it was even nicer than the photos! There's a big desk inside the bedroom and an even bigger one outside with a proper office chair. We were working some of the evenings that we were there and it was the nicest outdoor workspace with palm trees all around and even monkeys swinging from the trees sometimes. We also saw eagles and other birds. There is a big fridge and freezer space too. You can lock your valuables in the wardrobe if you need to for extra security and the bedroom door also locks. Air con works well. Hot water every time we showered too.

We were meant to stay only for a few days, but we ended up prolonging our stay, because we loved it so much! Room was massive and super clean, hot shower, fridge and fully equipped kitchen was a big plus. Outside area is so peaceful, it seems like being in a forest, but at the same time you’re so close to the beach. Family is so lovely and caring and their breakfast was just amazing, we particularly fell in love with the coconut pancake they were making. Truly recommended place. Hopefully we will come back soon!

A great place worth recommending. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, warm shower, well-functioning air conditioning, garden with tropical plants, good local breakfasts prepared by the hosts and dinners on request. For a small fee, you can rent a scooter from the hosts. Beautiful and charming beaches 5-10 minutes by walk. Hosts very helpful and friendly.
