“Peachful and close to nature!”

The property was in the perfect location to attend the Turtle Watch at the beach, with walking distance of 5 min to the beach itself. The area is quiet and I had the top room with stunning and peaceful view of the Rekawa lagoon. The hotel offers both western or Sri Lankan breakfast, and has dinner menus too. The area itself have some restaurants, so no need to travel into Tangalle for meals. Many of the hotels/restaurants are family owned by Sri Lankans from that specific area. Many of neighbouring hotels/restaurants are relatives with each other too. The area is so safe and welcoming for tourists as families and solo travellers. I stayed there two nights, where I attended the Turtle Watch one day, and did biking and kayaking the other day. The hotel staff was also helpful with organising a guide for the kayaking, and helped me for my further travels with bus.

Great place with huge bedrooms and a comfy swimming pool. Close to the beach. Breakfast was so far the best we had in a hotel in Sri Lanka. A bit pricy but worth the money

Amazing find! The place has amazing rooms which are huge, have a massive balcony and are spotlessly clean. The pool, shaded by palm trees and overlooking the lagoon is beautiful! Beach is only a few minutes walk and is very quiet where you can see giant turtles. The food is delicious and the staff are amazing and so helpful! initially booked for 4 nights, stayed for 9!

We stayed at the accommodation for 11 nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are very spacious, and the host is extremely dedicated, friendly, and helpful. Even though the location looks a bit remote on the map, it’s easy to get to the town or various beaches quickly. The dogs at the property are very cute. We used the pool very often. The coconuts come straight from the garden. The host arranged two scooters for us. There is a good laundry service. I would definitely book this accommodation again 👍🏽

We spent a very pleasant family stay (2+2) at Ashansa. Peace, quiet, and complete relaxation. Excellent contact with the owner, who helped us in every situation (laundry, a spare iPhone cable, etc.). The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfasts were rather standard, as in most hotels in Sri Lanka. The area is very charming, and the beach is beautiful, just a short walk from the hotel. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing holiday stay full of rest.

The location is outstanding-we had a balcony room and the view for the lagoon is just amazing. Everyday we were sitting with binoculars watching birds - and you could feel like in the middle of nature park. Additionally one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka is just few minutes by walking. Rather hard to swim though - keep that in mind. The swimming pool is well maintained and the proporty offers a kayak and bicycles too. Breakfast is delicious and there are also plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are big and very comfortable. We plan to come back there for sure!!!

A very nice place to stay. Spacious rooms with all the facilities you may need: AC, a ceiling fan, and a fridge. The rooms are very clean too. There is also a nice infinity pool and a great dining hall where breakfast is served. Lakshitha is an excellent, professional host ready to help out with just about anything. Thank you, Lakshitha!

“Quiet, relaxing and nature all around”

The service and communications we're great. Tasty breakfast and large room. The location by the lagoon was superb, amongst the wildlife and a fabulous swimming pool too.

From start to finish we loved this place: set in wonderful gardens overlooking the lagoon ,four rooms - huge rooms and great bathrooms with own private terrace. Breakfast was great. Latifa( sorry spelt wrong) was so helpful and all done quietly and with kindness. 5 minutes from the beach . Swimming a bit harder but we walked to the end of the beach and found perfect rock pools. We tended to walk early at 7 am.. and had the whole beach to ourselves. The hotel has free canoe as well.. otherwise we spent time just sitting in the hotel garden watching the wildlife!! We ate in the hotel too very good quality. There are a few other places to eat too. We stayed 4 days and this was one the best places we have stayed . Both the hotel, service and location Highly recommend.

Huge rooms in an awesome location. Only the ac was not working perfectly. Other than that, perfect place to relax. Also the canoe and bikes were fun!
