“Great place to stay for a relaxing break exploring the north east of the island”

Really enjoyed our stay in Tanaunella. The house is in a great location; you can walk to the beach in 10-15 minutes so we made the effort to get up early and enjoy the sunrise at Portu Ainu. The beach itself is very quiet, you're away from the tourist trap beaches so you can enjoy some privacy and the water is incredible! There are several restaurants within walking distance, a pizzeria at the end of the street, some places in the village itself; and a really nice upmarket place towards the beach. If you were looking for something busier, Budoni is a short drive away where they have lots of choice for restaurants. The house itself is a good size to fit everyone in and has all the amenities you'd need (WiFi etc). There were 5 of us and we all really enjoyed it. The garden is beautiful, there's a nice pergola to sit under and read a book, and we really enjoyed the terrace for watching the sunset in the evenings. It's in a great location to explore the north of the island whilst keeping out of the hustle and bustle of the cities. Recommend finding an agritourismo for some of the best food you'll ever have. Perfect location for a truly authentic Sardinian experience. This trip was for winter cycling, and we'll definitely be returning to the house in the summer.
