Clean, warm pool just outside the room. Being surrounded by monkey family, peacocks and other wildlife. Good pressure water in shower, immaculate rooms. Delicious food, great, accommodating host. Host helped us organize safari which was amazing.thank you! Highlight for us was calm peaceful sunset boat ride in local lake by gentleman who explained surroundings beautifully. Absolutely will be returning to this property very soon and highly recommend to others, particularly families with children.

“Incredible stay in a beautiful setting”

Our stay at Tranquil Wild was incredible. The setting is stunning, right next to a peaceful lake where we could take long walks and spot so much wildlife. We saw birds, peacocks, buffaloes, iguanas and some friendly monkeys who gave us company when we were by the pool! The room was spacious and very comfortable for the three of us. AC worked perfectly, everything was smooth, possibly the bathroom could use a slight upgrade. Our daughter loved the upstairs baby beds in the family room. The pool right outside the room was a big win, we spent a lot of time there especially in this heat. The treehouse was amazing and all the little seating spots around the property are beautifully done, making it a great place to just sit, relax, and take in the views. Food was very good, both dinners were tasty (though slightly limited in variety), and breakfast was generous and very well managed. The staff were amazing, super warm, helpful, and always responsive. They also arranged our safari, which was seamless and really well done. The jeep was comfortable, everything was on time (including packed food), and we saw plenty of wildlife, including elephants, across Zones 5 and 6. They were also kind enough to give us a very generous late check-out, which really helped since we were traveling with a toddler. Just the typical Srilankan hospitality! Overall, a beautiful boutique stay that really brings out the best of the Yala experience. Don't think twice if you are visiting this part of the country.

“A very good base for a safari in the Northern part of Yala”

This hotel was larger than others we stayed at – the room was enormous and looked out over the garden and pool. The evening meal was delicious and plentiful – second helpings offered if wanted! Nice touch to have a library of local birds and mammals of the region. They were very accommodating of our need to store the cases after official checkout so we could move on to our next accommodation after our day long safari in Yala 5 and 6 which they organised and for which they provided both breakfast and lunch, both of which were delicious and filling.

Absolutely loved our stay here!! The room wasn’t double story as pictured but was two conjoined rooms which was perfect for us as a group of 4! A lovely stay with the pool to chill out by when we weren’t off on a safari. All meals able to be eaten at the property and all delish!! Best pineapple juice of my life. Lots of peacocks, monkeys and buffalo’s able to be seen from the rooms - sadly also heard at night.

We loved our time at Tranquil Wild. The location was amazing with lots of birds to be seen in the nearby lake, and very convenient to Yala block 5 and 6. The staff couldn’t have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Highly recommend

Tranquil wild was in a beautiful location and the accommodation was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was nice to have a pool as well. The rooms smelt lovely as they had cinnamon oil burning.

I can highly recommend this place. Stayed for two nights and they exceeded all expectations. Felt like home from the moment I arrived. Large spacious rooms, well kept with private patio with a magical garden outside overlooking the pool and lake. Close to Yala Block 5 and 6 and they help you with transport, safaris and anything you could want or need. I was staying at the hotel at the same time as Christine (UK) and have to comment on their review.... This couple should have stayed home. Everyone... including staff and guests were tripping over their toes as they complained about everything and I mean everything. The families with children had to quiet their children and those who were smoking (open restaurant outside) had to leave. Some people should stay home instead of ruining everyone else's lives. All praise to the owner who was patient with this couple. Thank you for a great stay and experience.

Lovely staff making the experience smooth and welcoming from start to finish. Was great location for our Yala Safari and had a lovely breakfast and dinner. We saw so many animals too on site which was a nice addition!

We spent two nights at Tranquil Wild and had a wonderful stay. Anne’s communication before and during our visit was excellent, and she helped organise a safari that was absolutely perfect. We were lucky enough to spot the elusive leopard right at the end! Highly recommend the 5:30 pm boat tour at Tranquil as well.

We stayed here because we wanted a half day safari which the hotel organised. All good. Room was fine. Nothing super special but clean and comfortable. WiFi was great. Location: there’s nothing around. No restaurants for example, so be aware you’ll be eating in the hotel.
