“Beautiful, beautiful guesthouse!”

This might have been one of my favourite guesthouse stays! The place is beautiful and feels so peaceful- a great base if you are hiking the Kumano Kodo! I loved all the art in the rooms and the way the sun came through the colorful curtains in the morning! There was also a fantastic cupboard of teacups and pottery - it was great taste. There are bathrooms and kitchen facilities to use as well. Also a nice green outside area. Location is also convenient - only a short walk to the station, and the host was kind. I’d be more than happy to come back!

Great first stop for the kumano kodo. Koji was very helpful and kind and allowed me to leave my baggage there during my kumano kodo trip. Very homey and traditional tatami mat and futon accomodation.

It’s very interesting place, owner was really kind, caring of his customers, very nice feel to the places, community and truly travelers. Which i didn’t see so much of in japan. I liked that.

I like the masks and the books at your place, and the room is so meticulously designed that it inspires me to think whether I could make some changes to mine in Hong Kong!

The owner is very kind and informative. The room was super comfortable and warm. There is a kotatsu in the middle, which was very cozy. And both the toilet and the shower room are heated and very warm. So if you travel in winter, it's great!

Warm, great value for money and wonderfully located for the night before starting the Kumano Kodo. The owner is so helpful… filled out all of our luggage forwarding forms and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Couldn’t have asked for more

Koji is the most kind and helpful host you will find! He patiently helped me work through some poor planning issues and went above and beyond to ensure I was prepared and confident for my Kumano Kodo experience. The guesthouse is beautiful- like staying in a local person's home, with so many lovely decorations (loved the shower curtain! 😜). I could have stayed there a week. Arigatōgozaimus, Koji! 🙏

“Nice short stay to begin the walk”

It is fairly close to the station, and I can store my small suitcase for just 200 yen a day. Staff is very helpful too and gave me a dual pilgrimage passport. I had a comfortable room which I shared with another girl.

Very nice guesthouse, only 5min away from the station. The owner is here to welcome you and gave me a map with good tips around. Make sure to check the 一吉 Ichiyoshi restaurant, delicious food for very cheap (and open from 5pm until 3am)

Lovely guesthouse, feels very homely and the host is very friendly and helpful - providing information on what to see and do. Good location too. I would stay again!
