We had a terrible stay in this hostel! The host was very drunk, he was irritable unpredictable and unsafe. While we were there he started to physically hit his wife. She seemed to be such a pure and innocent being. The host is a terrible human and I would like everyone to know this

Location was spectacular, quiet and remote. Host Ahmed and his partner were truly wonderful hosts; Ahmed is truly dedicated to ensuring your stay meets expectations, and is a very amicable chap. Food was delicious and surf was excellent.

“An amazing place close to the local surf spots :)”
Me and my friend had an amazing time! Ahmed is an awesome host and helped direct us to all the local surf spots and was able to recommend good places to rent surfboards etc. El faro is so peaceful and has a great roof terrace perfect for chilling on during the day and stargazing at night. The food was also delicious, the included breakfast was great and we had homemade tajines for dinner. Was the perfect fuel for surf days! I’d recommend this place highly and will definitely return for another visit!

Good breakfast; Ahmed generally cooks very good food, such as fish. Excellent location for nearby surf spots, and you can see the waves from the rooftop terrace.

Very friendly welcome by Achmed, the hostel is right next to the surf spots, the place is very quiet and pleasant. Breakfast is included and there are often meals organized.

“A beautiful experience”
It's a hostel, it may look run down from the outside, but inside it's well-kept and clean. There's a convivial atmosphere, thanks in part to the hosts' positivity.The hosts are a very kind couple and ready to accommodate my needs. I changed dates at the last minute and there was no problem! The dinner is sublime, the girl who cooks makes wonderful dishes, tajine with fish, octopus cooked "Moroccan style", all delicious. Breakfast is also very good and is served in the common area, fostering friendship among guests! Strategic location to explore the endless beaches that are around, but it is recommended to have your own vehicle to get around 100% recommended

“Best place to slow down and take a rest”
The place is perfect to chill and relax without any tourist crowd around. I had the best sleep there. Such a calm place to take a break from everything and rush. The room was clean and comfortable. The sunset from the terrace is just amazing!! Ahmed was one of the best host during my vacation for sure and is indeed a very good cook. He was so nice even to take me to the Tamri center and to the dunes. I will be back for sure!! Thank you brother Ahmed 🫶

“A beautiful spot”
We stayed for 1 night and it was fantastic. It’s very rural and a bit difficult to find, just ask in advance as it was amazing. We had a tasty Moroccan dinner and a typical Berber breakfast watching the sun rise on the terrace. The host was very helpful. If you’re a surfer, it’s right next to the famous boilers point, and an incredible area to watch the sunrise. There are no shops nearby so come prepared food wise if you don’t want to pay for dinner, but I would as it was delicious. Thanks again.

“Calm and beautiful place from where one can reach many surfspots around”
We had the best stay (once again) at el Faro! the location is calm and beautiful, the place works great as a base from where one can reach the different surfspots around Ahmed is doing a great job as your host, making sure you feel comfortable and at home! We will for sure come back and would highly recommend you a stay at el faro :)
