“Great experience and excellent service!”

Simone and family were great hostesses, they were beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay. Simone arranged a taxi to bring us to the hotel from the airport which was a massive help, specially coming on a Sunday night. She was at the desk at night when we arrived and didn't make us feel pressure to rush at any point. Over the next few days we stayed, Simone was very helpful giving us some tips of were to go, how to get there and best times for surf which we found extremely good as I never been in Morocco before.

I had an amazing stay. The hosts are truly wonderful people — incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful. The room was perfect, and the breakfast was delicious every single morning. I really felt at home. I highly recommend this place, and would love to come back. Thank you again for everything!

I had a great stay at Dar Makai in Tamraght and would definitely recommend it. The hotel is in a really handy location, close to the beach, shops, and cafés. The rooms are very clean, modern, and clearly well thought out. I especially appreciated the small details, for example, there were lots of coat hangers in the wardrobe, which I loved because I like to properly unpack and hang my clothes when I arrive somewhere. The shower was excellent, really warm and powerful. The roof terrace is also a great space to relax, and there are proper areas to store your surfboard and rinse your wetsuit, which is super handy when you’re travelling for surf. The hosts, Simone and Rashid, were incredibly friendly and helpful and gave me lots of great tips about the area and the surf while I was there. They also prepared a handmade breakfast for me every morning, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. The cafe attached to the hotel serves great food / drinks and has super friendly staff. I would happily stay at Dar Makai again.

We spent a week at the Surf Hotel Dar Makai and were extremely satisfied. We can highly recommend this hotel. A particular highlight was the food at the hotel, which was prepared with great care. All the staff were very friendly and the hosts were always available to answer questions and fulfill requests. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Owners were very friendly and accommodating, giving us extra advice on travel tips. Good location for the beach. Nice and modern and felt looked after. Breakfast was superb. Would love to come back here again.

“Perfect to end our road trip: great beach and Hotel”

very nice Hotel, perfect, not only for surfing. Close to a long and clean beach . Great for sunset etc. For us the best place to end our road trip, in particular as Agadir Airport is good to return rental cars and for taking the return flight (small airport, short queue) This small Hotel is run by the owners, which makes a great difference. Good neighborhood with nice small restaurants and coffee shops near by.

We were well looked after at Dar Makai and had a lovely stay. Simone and Rashid were great, communicating before the trip and organising a taxi from the airport for us.They also gave us tips about what to do in the area and further afield. Breakfasts were tasty and hearty! You will be well fed! The rooms were uber clean and decorated well, it's really is how you see it in the pictures.  The terrace was the icing on the cake. It's one of the tallest in that spot so gets a lot of sun. Also really convenient for us was the exchange bureau which was a few seconds walk away, which was great when we needed to change more GBP. The hotel is also close to other restaurants, but Dar Makai also has its own.  This really was a gem of a find and we'll certainly be back!

Our stay was everything we could have wished for—comfortable, private rooms, a fantastic location, and staff who treat you like family. My partner was unwell during the first half of our trip, so we ended up arriving late to breakfast most days. Despite this, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, even preparing a Tea with remedies for colds to help him recover! Their thoughtfulness made such a difference. Any issues were resolved immediately with grace. Plus, the adorable cat was an added delight!

Me and my partner, we stayed in Dar Makai Hotel and we loved it. Rashid, Simone and all the staff are very friendly people. Rooms were very nice and clean, beds comfy and the breakfast just epic. We also had few surf lessons which we enjoyed a lot and in the end of stay everything ended with great bbq session. I definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to be back. Thank you!

“Perfect stay, would book again!”

We loved our stay. The staff is very kind, welcoming, and made us feel very comfortable. We had a different breakfast every morning. The location is also perfect. Tamraght is kind of on a hill - the hotel is based more on the bottom and closest to the beach, than most hotels. You can also easily catch a cab to Agadir or Taghazout, since it’s right close to the main road. The level of standard and service is also very western. We didn’t come across this in other hotels in Morocco. I highly recommend and I would definitely come back here!

Simone and Rachid are amazing hosts! We had a lovely stay in a beautiful and modern room. They really went the extra mile to make the stay super comfortable for our little one, providing an amazing cot, toys and finally a high chair for our little one meals. Dinner and breakfast were delicious as well. Couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks for the lovely stay.

“Excellent stay!”

Rooms were clean and comfortable, love that each room has the name of an animal instead of a number :) Hotel owners are really nice and friendly, always ready to help and give recommendations. Location is perfect, near the beach but in town. Finally, breakfast is super good and was always different.

The location was really close to the beach and the rooms were really nice! The host was very lovely and caring, it's a family business and they really made an effort to help me out with anything I needed.

We loved the place, Simone, Rachid, and the whole staff was very helpful and friendly. First we spent there just one night because we had plans for the desert as well, but after we had to go back for other nights because our kids enjoyed the place and the surfing course so much. I think we will come back again as soon as we can :)

The property was super cosy and comfortable. Simone and Rachid made us feel at home and were extremely helpful with all our needs! I would recommend staying at Dar Makai whether you are coming to Morocco for surfing or any other activity as you will be extremely well treated and made smile.
