“Pleasant stay but know the limitations when driving a saloon car”

“Lovely and helpful staff at a stunning location in Tambunan!”
The staff at Tambunan nature lodge were extremely helpful. The main reason why we chose to stay here was to visit a local bird hide to photograph rare Bornean birds and we had a mix up with the owner of the bird hide. However, a lovely guy at the reception helped us out by communicating with the owner. The views from the lodge are exceptional! The lodge and the rooms are quite rustic but this is a remote location so please manage your expectations. It is also not walkable to Tambunan town but the staff called a private taxi for us to visit the town for dinner.

Location is ok but the road going up is steep. Tissue and towels are enough. Hot shower worked well unless during blackout. The beds were okay.

I already book early via booking apps but when i call the hotel, the staff said hotel already full and no my name in their list booking. The staff said, "your book via apps we are unable to accept. The apps you using to book are late to update their apps".

Vicinity to Mount Trusmadi Forest Reserve. Nice view of the surrounding. Fruit trees within the compound of the lodge.

The view definitely was fantastic from the terasse, also from the road coming from KK. The place is very peaceful and cooling.
