We had a wonderful stay at Villa Nauticus in Tamarindo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. This charming boutique hotel is perfectly located just two blocks from the beach, offering easy access while still being tucked away from the busy, more crowded parts of town. It was the ideal balance of convenience and tranquility. We traveled with our 7-year-old son, and the pool was definitely a highlight for him—he absolutely loved it and looked forward to swimming every day. What truly sets Villa Nauticus apart is the hospitality. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Their knowledge of the local area is outstanding—they gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities that really enhanced our trip. The room service was excellent, and every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. Everything we could have asked for—and more—was taken care of. We would absolutely stay here again

We loved the Place so much. It was central, quite, familiar and the room was very nice and clean. In general the service was extremely kind and we could recommend a 100%. The owners were so nice to us and they also gave us so many tipps about what activities we can do (beach, food, best surf placed etc.). The atmosphere was cozy and it just felt a little bit like home.

My wife and I stayed at Villa Nautilus during our visit to Tamarindo over New Years last year. Having not been to Tamarindo before this place was PERFECT for location as it's literally down the road from the beach. Upon arrival, Agelie greeted us and was super helpful with providing information about Tamarindo and everything that this amazing part of Costa Rica has to offer! Having lived there for a number of years, Agelie had so much useful information about the tours, restaurants, surroundings etc.. You name it, she could help you with it! The room was perfect for what we needed. Good size, clean, and had a pool right outside in the shared area, which us and the other guests could use. Would 100% recommend staying here if you want somewhere close to the beach and bars/restaurants and value your privacy. **Special shout out to her little son for providing us with his homemade lemonade every day - super refreshing in the dry season heat! “Amazing trip and amazing villa”

The couple that own this property are incredibly inviting, friendly, and helpful. We arrived in Tamarindo with loose ideas of what we wanted to do, but didn't have anything booked. They recommended so many great activities, like a private surf lesson and a catamaran trip and took a lot of the effort of research off of our hands. The property itself is relaxing, secluded, and safe. Still centrally located and easy to walk everywhere in town.

Angie is a fantastic host, she really took her time and we felt right at home. With such great suggestions, a clean house and sunshine nothing but good vibes

Everything was wonderful! Agelie and Laurent were lovely hosts- so kind and helpful and communicative. We loved our breakfasts on the terrace- fresh and delicious! The location was great- close enough to the beach and restaurants and shops, but far enough to not hear the noise of the town. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the property was lovely!

Friendly and very helpful hosts! They are there for anything you need. Beds are comfortable. Had cleaning staff everyday. Pool was nice.

Close to town, but far enough out to not hear the noise from bars. Very clean, comfy bed and excellent breakfast and beautiful room and pool area. The family are so lovely and give very helpful advice on the local area, arranging tours, advice where to go and what to avoid.

We had a nice big room with beautiful interior design. The host told us many nice spots for food and activities in the area when we arrived. When I forgot my Kimono in the room after leaving, she even sent it to San Jose for me. Definitely a recommendation!

Agélie the owner was the absolute best tour guide of Tamarindo. Great guidance for restaurants and activities. She set up amazing surf lessons for us. Was always very attentive to our needs and also friendly throughout our stay. She does an excellent job keeping things running smoothly for her guest.
