There is no disputing this is the best each property in Playa Tamarindo. The views from the third floor rooms were wonderful.

“Large corporate hotel and restaurants”

Location in the heart of Tamarindo is great apart from it being split into two sites either side of the main street through the town. It’s not a major problem but it does feel like two separate hotels. Sunsets from the beach are stunning. Good secure parking. Nice pools and plenty of sun loungers.

The hotel is excellent, the breakfast is excellent, and there are many pools and a beautiful beach.

All except noise in the room, so so bad!

They clean the room well and the employees were very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is awesome with a lot of choices. There are a lot of restaurants around and the hotel is located in town.

Overall had a pleasant experience, especially because we chose an adults-only room. This gave us a sense of privacy and tranquility, which we really appreciated. The location is also excellent, the area is full of restaurants and everything is easily accessible, whether you’re looking to explore the beach, grab a bite to eat, or book an activity. The stuff was very friendly as well. We enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the convenient location, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Really nice facilities with numerous swimming pools, beautiful and private garden away from the bustle outside, good bars and very convenient breakfast location. Great breakfast

The hotel is right on the beach of Tamarindo. We stayed in the standard rooms, which were not right on the beach but were nice and pleasant. We had a car, but for those without one, it’s great because everything is within walking distance. If you have a car, there is a large parking lot and a special service that helps you get in and out onto the main road

Attempts to restore it are half-hearted and careless. While the property appears superficially clean, it’s actually dirty everywhere when you look closer. The entire place is run-down; it only appears decent from a distance, but up close, the details are appalling. For example, walls and surfaces are carelessly painted over during renovations, with no attention to quality or detail. The soundproofing is non-existent—you can hear every conversation and noise from the neighbouring rooms. The loungers are extremely uncomfortable, worn out, and offer no support. To make matters worse, many of them are covered in bird droppings, which are clearly not cleaned regularly. The room cannot be fully darkened, and there are constant disturbing noises from machines, ventilation systems, and other equipment. For context: Costa Rica was the 67th country I’ve visited, and this place has actually made it into my top 10 worst accommodations worldwide. An absolute disappointment.
