Modern, clean and well equipped room and bathroom. Good location, with free parking but only dirt road access. Immediate response from the hosts during reception hours 8-18h. Potable water in the common area. Nice courtyard ambient around the pool

“A one-week long honeymoon in Tamarindo on foot.”

We spent 7 nights in Hotel Elixir. Unlike most travelers to Tamarindo, we had quite a long stay. Hotel Elixir was beyond perfect. The staff is friendly and is willing to help you get the best out of your trip. We didn't have a car, so we had to do everything by Uber or foot. The access to Playa Tamarindo, Playa Langosta and Playa Grande is excellent. You can get there by foot. You can easily get too to pharmacies, supermarkets and all of the bars and restaurants in the center of Tamarindo. To the Playas more far away you can get an Uber, they can easily access the hotel. You have different breakfast options, they are fresh and cooked by the staff every morning. Wi-Fi works without interruptions. All the spaces are very clean and comfortable. We would definitely come back whenever we return to Tamarindo :) Thanks for all!

“I’d stay there again!”

Everything was absolutely amazing! Elisa is a great host, she gave me a lot of valuable information. It was so nice that she makes breakfast for each guest herself. It gives you a feeling that you’re not in a hotel, but just visiting your friend. Her avocado toast has already become a legend!😍 The furniture in the room is quite new, one has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. There’s no kettle in the room itself, but one can easily get some hot water (and cold) water 24/7 on the ground floor. A big supermarket is pretty close to the hotel, and there are a lot of restaurants and food courts in the area. Tamarindo beach is 7-10 minutes walk, which was absolutely okay for me.

It was in a good location, just 5 minutes walk from everything. Elisa was very welcoming and helpful, even arranging transport for us from San Jose.

We loved this little hotel, tucked away on a quiet street, but just a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Very comfortable room, and a great shower! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the avocado toast! We would definitely stay here again.

As others have said, this is an oasis of calm and quiet despite being 2 mins walk to the hustle and bustle. We loved the design, giving privacy and peace to all guests. The breakfasts were amazing. Really comfortable bed, room spotless. Eliza, the owner, is a great host; she is friendly, knowledgeable and a real people person who wants her visitors to enjoy their stay.

Loved that it was so small, and run by the owners. The pool was small, but a nice feature none the less. And we enjoyed the made to order breakfast quite a lot. Yogurt with granola was a great option, and avocado toast as well. It was a bit away from the center - perfect short walk that also made it more quiet than the ones directly on the beach street. Big room with balcony and mini fridge - this was very nice!

The hotel owner was amazing! So helpful and answered all the questions. Would recommend!

“Overall excellent stay”

Contrary to a lot of reviews, I thought the breakfast was very good. There are only 4 options but they cover pretty much every breakfast type. Excellent location, close to town. The owner is always on hand to provide advice and resolve any problems and was a great host. The pool is quite small but it is sufficient enough with the beach being the main daytime draw.

When we asked to change rooms, they did so with no quibble and without charging us for the upgraded room The new room was large with a separate lounge area. The location was good, next to everything but still quiet. The small pool was lovely for a dip. The free drinking water a nice touch. They helped us with booking transportation. Fred gave us a lovely welcome and good information about the area.

I love that it was a boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms, I used the pool like everyday and only shared it with someone else once. It was a 5 minute walk from the town centre but far enough away that you weren’t kept up all night by the nightlife (bar one night when the neighbors had a party)

Elisa, was a great host and cooked a mean breakfast. Accommodations were verily new and the pool was available for a cool splash down.

Staff were super helpful.

Did not eat it. Location is excellent close to everything but tucked in a quieter section. Felt safe & cozy
