This hotel provides great value. Even with the dormitory rooms, which offer spacious private cubicles, you get a free pass to the beautiful nearby onsen. This hotel is immaculate with good amenities and high end touches like pyjamas and the staff are wonderful. Located right by the train station and ferry terminal it is perfectly situated for a few days exploring the art islands. Thoroughly recommend.

“It was just of with small rooms”

Breakfast was fine enough although next time I will save the money and go off to a local coffee shop shop or find a 7-11. I did find it a little perplexing that the espresso machine “doesn’t open until 9a” (when most people have already had breakfast). To get a strong cup of coffee I paid the equivalent of USD$25 - they charged for an Americano and then 3 shots of espresso. I struggled with the logic. Go and get coffee at Upinn - just across the street. Also check out at Ocean Village in town for dinner - great fish and chicken tacos and very reasonable with friendly owners.

Great value hotel for this popular area. Clean, modern, and stylish. I stayed in the female capsule rooms which were quite spacious and cleaned daily. The staff were lovely, shout out to Ally who was always such a pleasure to converse with! I also rented a bike with the hotel for the day I went to Naoshima, good price! Location for the port and station can't be beat but may be far for some food spots. Also, loved the near by onsen.

Very nice staff. The room was big enough, clean and comfortable. With the room you get a free entrance to the local spa next door which is really good. The restaurant is very good, definitely one of the best meals I had during my stay in Japan.

Excellent location, very clean, and a great breakfast. The hotel offers a yoga class and has a lovely onsen. It’s a shame I stayed only one night—I should have stayed longer.

I don't know why, but my preconceived ideas were that this hotel was more like a hostel. It isn't. Ideally located, great facilities and very clean - this had everything we needed, and more!

The perfect place to stay for access to Naoshima - right next to the ferry terminal. The facilities are all outstanding for the price. And you get access to onseen which has indoor and outdoor pools - one of the best I experienced in Japan. The breakfast is outstanding. The staff are attentive and polite like everywhere in Japan.

We liked the water filter in the room, the balcony, the well-designed blackout curtains and good sound-insulation so we slept well, the no-nonsense competence of the staff, and the cooking skills in the kitchen. Also the location was just a few steps from both the train station and the ferry terminal.

Facilities were excellent, great rooms and close proximity to good food and the port for transfers to Naoshima.
