Overview
Located an 8-minute walk from JR Uno Station, Kikusui Ryokan is a 50-year old traditional Japanese hostel. It is decorated with unique art works designed by artists. It is a 5-minute walk to Uno Port, which offers ferry access to various islands including Naoshima. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Basic amenities like towels and toothbrushes are provided. Some rooms come with a private bathroom. Ryokan Kikusui offers a launderette on site. Naoshima Island is a 20-minute ferry ride from the Uno Port and Teshima Island is a 40-minute ferry ride away. The Uno Station is a 50-minute train ride from JR Okayama Shinkansen (bullet train) Station. No meals are served at the property. There is a convenience store just a 5-minute walk away, and restaurants and bars are available within a short walk.

“Great overnight stop”
Great location, very close to Uno Port, good coffee shop down the road, walking distance to train station. Very quick response from owners when we couldn’t figure out the light switch. Very large comfortable room.

Everyyhing, the space, we even had a hallway, the feel of the place, very traditional, the kimonos we got to wear during our stay

“Your Booking app. generated a double booking You did not solve it ! We paid twice!!”
Due to a fault in our Booking.com app it generated a double booking at this place. Neither you or the Ryokan owner was willing to cancel the superfluous room. You are cheeting us.

“A fine automated ryokan”
The room was exactly as pictured. The beds were very comfortable. The bath was excellent and very very hot. New towels every day and a bargain tumble dryer.

“Comfortable, clean and good sized room with a private bath”
Looks like the photos, good sized space for a couple and 2 carry on luggages. Has a microwave and fridge if you are thinking of buying food from 7-11. Our room had a private bath as well. Property is completely unmanned but they are very responsive via chat.
