They had a good kitchen set up. The hot water shower was great.

THE only place to stay in Tamano! What a fantastic place to stay! The host is an artist and that really shows through as the house is so wonderfully eclectic.  There was more than enough room for the 2 of us and at night,  it was so quiet.  The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.  There was a lounge area, and a sitting room where you could have breakfast as the sun shone through the windows. The house is separate from the hosts residence, so very private. The house is set up for a number of nights stay (we stayed for 5 nights) and nothing was missing.  It was near a Family Mart (walking distance) and a restaurant just down the road that was really very good.  The massage/public bath/restaurant place was just a short drive away and it was so lovely to spend an afternoon there,  you really should try it.   The hosts were seriously amazing,  Brett (a New Zealander) and his lovely wife Sayako couldnt do enough for us, from booking restaurants,  to advice on what to do and see whilst in Tamano. They were so incredibly kind, replying to any questions we had very quickly.  We have travelled extensively and have never had hosts who were that helpful and kind,  they genuinely care about their guests and ensure they are more than comfortable whilst staying in there.   It truly is an oasis amidst the craziness of Japan and you would miss out on an opportunity to really experience the type of hospitality that Japan has to offer. Very good house: kitchen, living room, bedroom, toilet, shower, bath. Very neat and clean with lots of tips in the living room. Wifi is good, air conditioning is good, very quiet, comfy. The owner met us at the station and drove to their place: very nice of them, because we had a lot of luggage!

The house is incredibly beautiful, artistically designed. It's quite big, very comfortable and has really everything you need for a home away from home, including a fully equipped kitchen. The hosts were great, picked me up at the station and had some useful tips for the area. Location was convenient for seeing the islands. I took the e-bike to Naoshima (by ferry). Would definitely book again if I return for another visit.

Great getaway from the big cities, while still having plenty around to do. With the host’s recommendation, you won’t struggle to be entertained while staying here.

Fabulous friendly hosts who collected us from the station and dropped us back again. The house is eclectic, organic, and interesting - and the beds are extremely comfortable! Really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout and being able to hire eBikes was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

“A very special unforgettable experience!”

It was a very special experience for us to live in Saiko and Brett's beautiful Japanese house. Saiko and Brett are very warm and lovable hosts, contact with them was always very quick and efficient. We were picked up from the bus stop when we arrived and taken to the train station when we left, which was of course extremely comfortable. The house is so lovingly decorated, with a great mix of old furnishings, modern furnishings and artistic design. The kitchen is very well equipped with extremely nice dishes, so we could cook and eat well. Everything was super clean and there were even dishtowels that, like the towels, were replaced. For our trip to Naoshima Island we were able to rent e-bikes from Brett and Saiko. It was nice that Brett showed us the other buildings on the property and told us about his plans for them. We very much hope that these plans can be realized!

House is pretty clean and artistic. Beds are very comfortable. the most important thing is landlords are pretty kind. hope I spent more time on this peaceful place:)
