Villa ovita constantly scores a 10 and there is a reason why, Damith, the owner has poured his heart and soul into to the place. It’s absolutely beautiful. I saw both properties and if anything they are better than the photos. There are thoughtful touches everywhere. Delicious breakfasts. Damith is so kind and helpful and works so hard. We felt very looked after. I feel lucky to have stayed at Villa ovita and experience such wonderful hospitality.

Absolutely exceptional - I have been fortunate enough to travel to 34 countries and this will honestly be one of, if not the most memorable places I’ve ever been. Incredible host, super tasty breakfast and a beautiful location nestled in what feels like the jungle, while also being minutes away from the beach. I also loved the local feel of the area the accommodation is located. Would highly recommend and would love to return.

“Paradise”

The best place we've ever been. The apartment is in paradise, with animals like birds, squirrels. The breakfast is amazing, the host is so friendly, you can feel like you are at home. I stayed at Villa Ovita after two weeks in Sri Lanka and having stayed in countless different places. Villa Ovita far exceeded all of them and was one of the most memorable places I think I have ever stayed. From the moment of arrival, Dameith’s hospitality flowed with a delicious arrival drink and tour of the incredible chalet. The room was spotlessly clean and so tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with genuine love and care. Nothing was ordinary - it was all beautiful and special, including the cinnamon-infused air! I particularly liked the bathroom and all the antique furniture. Dameith’s hospitality continued in leaps and bounds and his attention to detail is incredible (his years in the boutique hotel industry clearly shows). Not to mention his delicious breakfasts - PERFECTION. Villa Ovita is no ordinary place. It is a little piece of paradise and, despite being in an area filled with high-end luxury hotels, I would stay here again without hesitation because of this unique and beautiful experience it offers.

I wouldnt know where to begin - this is paradise and feels home away from home - maybe even better. It was probably my best accomodation/ hosting experience ever - of all my travels in xx countries. I was solo travelin and stayed 5 nights. If you get the chance to book this or the other bigger villa - you are lucky. Damith is such a great host and works hard to make it perfect for the guests. With great interior design, warm lighting and eye for details and even self designed bathrobes - you feel very inspired and cosy - very unlikely to most accomodations in Sri Lanka. Damith helped me with so many things, the list is long, so thank your for that big time. I so want to come back!

The owner discussed our breakfast preferences with us in advance and was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. It's the perfect stay for who appreciates animal life and nature. Every morning, there are squirrels, birds, monkeys, and peacocks nearby. Damith actually puts some food for some of them to eat. It's almost like a private wildlife show. Damith is the perfect host. He helps with everything that is needed. He also got us a scooter and transportation to the airport at fair prices. We loved everything. The big and tasty breakfast, the beaches and restaurants nearby, and the decor matches all photos. Despite the mosquitoes outside, the room was mosquitoes free and most important, the net over the bed protects during sleep. It was a great experience that is safe to recommend.

“Green getaway by the beach, super comfortable”

Wonderful quiet accommodation surrounded by trees and nature but only 5 min from the beach. Housing is spacious and stylish (amazing bathroom !), lots of attention to details and decoration. Best breakfast we have had in sri lanka, and the host is so sweet and helpful Strongly recommend !

“We just loved this place”

Everything was perfect. Superior Chalet has two bedrooms one is downstairs and the second one is upstairs. Bathroom is very fancy and also has a bathtub 🛁. Fridge and washing machine are in a separate room. Beakfast was varied every day and included traditional sirilankan dishes; so you get to know more about local traditional food. There is big garden at the front of the chalet with a swing. You can rent a bike for LKR 2,000 per day and can visit all nearby cities and beaches as it's more economical than tuktuks and saves time OR you can use the public transport which runs frequently with a bus after every 7-8 minutes and the bus stop is 8 minutes walk away from Vila Ovita.
