What an outstanding place and the ladies are amazingly kind! Wish we could have stayed much longer but this was already a highlight on our backpacking trip. The view is stunning and the food is incredibly delicious! This is a must recommend for me and I will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a calm and authentic place to stay between Galle and Ahangama what both is close by with any means of transportation.

The accommodation is managed by two wonderful sisters, who made us feel like part of the family. There is also a restaurant with exceptional food. 100% recommended.

“A small piece of heaven by the ocean!”

We loved our stay here! The location is right on a gorgeous little beach, with steps down for swimming and sunbathing. Small terrace for food & drink, and all rooms have a balcony/terrace. Small, private place with about 6 rooms run by 2 AMAZING sisters and their family/friends. The restaurant served delicious Sri Lankan dishes, breakfast was great too. Our room was simple, but super clean and comfortable. Road sound was busy in the bathroom, but bedroom on beachside was just sound of waves, perfect. We had a lovely breakfast each morning on the terrace overlooking the sea, it was heaven. We ate here too, food is freshly cooked and absolutely delicious! The family were so welcoming and genuinely warm, we loved the vibe, it felt like you stepped through the entrance to a little slice of heaven, it was so welcoming and relaxing. We felt very sad to leave, we would love to come here again, wouldn't hesitate to recommend Turtle Beach.

“Lovely place”

The sisters who run this place are brilliant, so friendly. They home cooked the food from scratch which was exceptional. Comfortable clean rooms with balcony overlooking the gorgeous beach. A nice seating area for drinks and meals Although not much room for loungers etc but there are a couple. We were up and out after a little chill after breakfast and a walk on the lovely quiet beach. 5 mins walk from here you can feed turtles which was one of our favourite things. A very pleasant 2 night stay.

The friendliest people. And the best food around. Spotlessly clean. The sisters that run Turtle Beach made us feel very much at home. I would give higher scores than possible on booking.com.

“Exceptional Exceptional”

The hotel is run by 2 sisters and nothing was too much bother. The rooms were very good for the price. The seafood was exceptional at a very competitive price. We had a balcony, which gave us a panoramic view of the ocean, and watched lots of turtles swimming. We also had our laundry done there, to a very high standard and very cheap. Definitely will return.

“AMAZING guesthouse overlooking the ocean 😍”

Honestly one of the best guesthouses we stayed at in our whole month in Sri Lanka! Perfect location where you can listen to the waves all night long! The rooms are so spacious, clean and modern! AC, WiFi and hot water all worked perfectly! Gorgeous family run this place & they are the loveliest people 🫶🏼 so so glad we stayed here!!!

“Beautiful stay!”

We booked here last minute for one night, the staff were very welcoming and super friendly!! The view on the water was absolutely stunning and amazing to wake up to. The staff greeted us with fresh coconuts! The room was basic but perfect for the nights sleep.

An incredible experience and warm welcome at Turtle Beach Talpe. This beautiful family made us feel at home and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and top class. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Delani is the chef and her food is freshly home cooked as you order. Best Sri Lankan curry and egg hoppers, best food in Talpe. Setting is right on the beach with palm trees and the ocean at your feet. Chilled beers. We hired their scooters and they arranged transfers for us. We only stayed 3 days but felt like family when we left. Shashika made sure everthing was well maintained and lovely cool airconditioned rooms. Perfect location. Thank you we hope we can come back soon.

“Didn’t fit the description.”

The room and shared balcony with table and two seats and a view overlooking the sea,. Spacious shower room,and a big plus is the small fridge in the room.The Sri Lankan breakfast good. But don’t order the octopus for evening meal,it was like trying to eat rubber,it was inedible which the owner agreed but was still charged for it.

Absolute good location directly at the beach! Very friendly landlords and a big and clean room. The Landlord makes very tasty Dinner and breakfast at his own small restaurant.

Amazing location on the beach front! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Perfect few days stay for us on our travels. We wished we could have stayed longer!

“Beautiful”

Beautiful little hotel right on a gorgeous beach. Spotless, recently renovated room with everything needed including kettle, fridge, hairdryer etc. Huge, modern bathroom. The best thing about this place apart from the view was the fabulous family who run it, nothing was too much to ask, always smiling and basically make your holiday better.
