“Stunning villa with great service and delicious food.”

Villa with WOW factor! Stunning immaculate villa with beautiful surroundings. Pool is amazing. Can be used even by young children as one part is shallow and gradually becomes deeper. Loved the outdoor patio where we had delicious dinner/ breakfast and lunch. Pool table upstairs is a great too. Rooms are modern and spacious. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Will be staying here again.

“Beautiful villa and stay”

This place is outstanding, we stayed in the one bedroom villa and had every amenity you would find in a 5 star hotel, bathrobes, comfy bed and quality bed linen, nespresso machine. Breakfast was amazing and there is a choice of western and Sri lankan. Evening meal also very good and loads of food . Owner Diane was there to meet us, my husband is a builder so he was interested in the villa build. Staff are very friendly and lovely. I would definitely recommend this place and was one of the best places we stayed

“Absolutely divine”

Me and my partner just spent a week at the Devine villa and honestly could not fault our time here, it is the most picturesque location with views of beautiful rice fields and so much nature. The rooms are nicely decorated and very spacious and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff and the owner were very attentive also. We will definitely be returning.

The rooms were spacious, the view was amazing and the staff was exceptional! The food/drinks were delicious - especially their mango juice. Hands down, the best we've had.

“Worth the climb!”

The villa is a peaceful escape, surrounded by nature. A highlight for us was relaxing in the infinity pool enjoying the beautiful sunset views and seeing monkeys swinging through the trees! The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - they prepared a late meal for us on arrival when our flight was delayed, they helped carry our bags up the hill (the hill isn't so bad, and worth it for the views and tranquility!), helped alert the attention of a tuktuk driver as he was driving away when we realised we'd left something in it, and accommodated our last-minute meal swap request when my partner was unwell and wanted something a little blander. We really appreciated everything they did for us! And Diane was very helpful and responsive to any of my queries, both before and during the stay.

The property is so beautiful….its located on a hill top and the climb first looks very intimidating but once you reach the property…its like heaven You just can’t go wrong with this one. We were first skeptical about choosing the srilankan breakfast but it was soo soo good that we ended up having that for the rest of our trip Also, their usual breakfast time is 8-9 am but the morning on which we did whale watching we requested them if they could serve us our breakfast after we return and they agreed What delighted us more was that when we returned to the hotel we went straight to our rooms to get some rest and they were happy enough to serve us breakfast even at 12:30 pm (by that time I should just call it lunch 🤭)

“Pleasant stay”

The villa is absolutely stunning, beautiful and clean rooms with air conditioning and big windows overlooking different parts of the surrounding greenery. The infinity pool is also lovely. Really fun snooker table to play with during a night in.

The property is an excellent location with an amazing manager and staff to cater to all your needs. The rooms were amazing and the views from the villa the pool side are mind blowing , hats off to the staff for coordinating everything so perfectly. We will definitely visit again

Everything! The villa is so beautiful and we enjoyed it so much. The level of detail and beauty is incredible. We stayed with 2 families and loved every minute of our stay. The food is also really nice and is so luxurious to have all the services like massage and own fitness. Great value for money! Also the staf was super sweet and service minded.

The interior design is beautiful. Every room was meticulously designed, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the view of the lush gardens and pool felt like a dream. The staff were beyond amazing — thoughtful, professional, and always going above and beyond to make sure our stay was flawless. From the delicious meal (we took the breakfast but now wish we’d had more meals there) to the little touches throughout the day, everything was handled with grace and genuine care. If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful escape in Sri Lanka, The Divine Villa Thalpe is just perfect. We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave. It is an outstanding accommodation. Very beautiful and stunning views. Lovely clean rooms. Beautifully de decorated villa. It is close to the beach with a tuk tuk and we loved the hospitality of the staff and owners. Will surely get back!

Absolutely incredible property with the most lovely staff! The staff helped us with anything we needed and were so kind to us and our baby. We stayed in a villa that was separate to the main house which was perfect for our little family. Oh and the food that the manager made was the best food we had in Sri Lanka! Have the chicken curry for dinner!

“Fatastic stay in a dream Villa”

Super friendly staff, high quality food and the Villa is fantastic. Located on the hill, with super nice view from the infinty pool. The villa is built and decorated with eye for detail.

“A terrible villa where $3,000 was stolen from my safe”

I stayed in this villa from November 11th to November 25th, 2024. Upon leaving the hotel, I discovered that $3,000 had been stolen from me. I immediately called the owner of the villa, who did not help me in any way. His manager came in, who had the key to the safe. The two of them convinced me that the police would not help me in any way, but I still turned to the police and the embassy for help. The manager was detained, there was a trial, which was postponed to July 2025. I have all the evidence. The owner of the villa hired two expensive lawyers for the manager and refused to help with the investigation. The photo was taken in the Cozy room, where we lived and were robbed.

Breakfast was generous with 2 choices: continental and 'local'. We only went for the continental which was very nice: fresh fruits, fresh juice, slice of delicious bread and eggs + sausages.

Absolutely amazing place, the owner and the stuff. As soon as we entered we saw the message "Divine will show you the way". And Divine is really perfect name for this villa. Amazing view, fantastic nature, smiles everywhere. Every detail, inside and out are amazing. It is really hard to pick something and say "ok, this is amazing", because really, everything is. We are going to come again, for sure.

“Outstanding hospitality in the perfect villa, a must stay”

Fabulous food every day, home cooked Sri Lankan, tailored to all of your needs. Fresh produce from the markets every day. Outstanding views all around the villa, and the villa itself was beautifully designed inside and out. Every detail thought throught. The Divine villa had everything you could need. An infinity swimming pool for sunset swims, european sockets, great coffee and tea at your disposal throughout the day and night. All staff members were kind and friendly, going above and beyond. Bedrooms were very large with hot water, large comfortable beds with plush bedding, soaps, and added extras - hair dryer, cotton pads etc. Christophe, the owner, was a fabulous host and on hand to provide recommendations and ensure our time in Sri Lanka was fully maximised. Perfect location for exploring Galle, Talpe, many local temples, Jungle Beach and the peace pagoda. I look forward to returning!
