Talalla is a very quiet little village, which suited me perfectly. The house was a 2-minute walk from the beach, and one minute from a little shop which provided everything basic. Several restaurants were also within walking distance, but as it was off-season, some of the places were closed. The host provided a delicious breakfast and dinner on request.

Our host Nelka was friendly, breakfast was delicious and the BnB was a 3 minute walk to the beach which was ideal.

I had a wonderful stay at Talalla BnB, a peaceful guesthouse just steps from the beautiful Talalla Beach in Talalla South, Sri Lanka. The location is fantastic — you can walk to the sand in about two minutes and enjoy calm sea views every day. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean, comfortable and surrounded by a lovely garden, giving the whole place a tranquil, relaxing vibe. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with local Sri Lankan dishes that were a great way to start the day. I appreciated the easy check-in, free Wi-Fi, and local tips the hosts shared about the area. If you’re looking for a simple, authentic beachside stay with warm hospitality and excellent value for money, I highly recommend Talalla BnB — perfect for couples, solo travellers or anyone wanting a peaceful getaway by the Indian Ocean

“Phenomenal”

Talalla BnB was my favorite stay in the south coast of Sri Lanka. Very peaceful, no tuktuk traffic noise, 2 minutes walk to the beach. The host is very kind and asks you what time you want the breakfast. It comes with 4 hoppers, fruit plate, papaia juice, tea and Dahl. The room and toilet are the cleanest I have seen in Sri Lanka. Recommend 200%

I stayed at Thalalla BnB 5 nights and it was great. Clean room and lovely private balcony to relax on. The hosts were so welcoming and helpfull and made me feel at home! The beach which is very close by is super chill with minimal crowds. Also nice spa options around :) Hope to go back soon!

“Calm stay at nice family”

A small but lovely place to stay with a kind and pleasantly reserved family. A comfortable bed, hot water, and good food—everything you need on a small budget. You can also watch squirrels and monkeys from the terrace! :)

Great location, perfect for a relaxing holiday, hospitable hosts

Friendly, warm owners who looked after us really well. Good WiFi. The best home cooked meals we have had during our three weeks in Sri Lanka. Excellent value for money. The owners let us stay an extra night at the last minute and helped us find transport to our next destination. The location is lovely, it's peaceful and very close to the beach and a small shop. We enjoyed watching the monkeys playing all around us & spent quiet evenings playing cards.

The place was nice but they harassed me by phone, message and calls to get a good review, so there is my review. The place is nice although the curtains dont block any light, and it is close to the beach.

really cute getaway if you stay in the little apartment hut that is right next to the main home. facilities were clean, the bed huge, u could hear the Ocean since the beach is about 250m away. great included breakfast, and a heartwarming family business.

“One month in beutiful Talalla BNB”

My partner and I spent a month at Talalla BNB, and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. The house is perfectly located — close to the beach, yet it feels like you’re surrounded by the jungle. I spent countless hours on the balcony just watching the amazing wildlife all around the house. The hosts, Lakshman and Nelka, are what I would truly call superhosts. They are both incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. Lakshman always had great advice whenever we needed help with anything, and Nelka’s cooking is absolutely incredible — honestly, I think it’s the best food in all of Sri Lanka! We had both breakfast and dinner there most days, and every meal was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with fresh sheets twice a week, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We’re looking forward to coming back (we have already booked a second month in January). We would highly recommend Talalla BNB to anyone visiting the area!

Great little place with the best beach in the south just 150 meters away. Hosts are amazing. Breakfasts also really good.
